Street 308, Sangkat Chaktomok, 12302, Cambodia
A great spot for a lunch set at just $5.50, which includes a main dish of beef noodles, a side dish, and a drink of your choice—coffee or tea. Updated: I came here for dinner and ordered dumplings and soup. It took a while, and the dumplings ended up not being hot at all. When we asked the waiter, they said they might have gotten cold, when they try to find our table. Next time, make sure to order warm dumplings! Note: there is no parking available.
Mama Wong’s Dumpling Noodle House on BASSAC Street is a cozy eatery renowned for its authentic, handmade dumplings and flavorful noodle dishes. With a warm ambiance and generous portions, it’s a local favorite for comfort food and Asian culinary delights. We ordered a Far East Spritz and a Mai Tai—nice! (Cocktails are 30% off during happy hour from 5–7 PM.) For food, we had beef fried rice, duck meat noodle soup, spring onion pancakes, and chicken satay dumplings—all for just $26.
We had lunch here during the lunch deal. We ordered fried rice, morning glory, beef dumplings and vegetarian spring rolls plus a couple of iced teas. The fried rice was satisfying without being spectacular. A good fried rice. The morning glory was delicious, perfectly cooked with garlic. The dumplings were fantastic, with a little vinegary sourness that complimented the savoury beef flavour so well. The spring rolls were nice and crisp and not greasy. Staff were very nice, the atmosphere was pleasant. Very good overall and would come again.
We came here for lunch and had the $5.50 set lunch menu. We added a watermelon juice and a ginger beer for $1 each, extra. They were super tasty! I had edamame and vegetable noodles and my partner had the cauliflower popcorn and the pork dumplings. I wish I had the veggie dumplings because it was more like spaghetti and had limited veg. The place itself is quite small and dingey but the staff were lovely.
I liked the set menu and it felt like good value. The edamame and cauliflower were spot on. I enjoyed the dumplings too. The seating was fairly comfortable but took a while to cool down. The staff were all really friendly (fortunately, it seems to be hard to find anywhere with less than great staff!).
