Friendly staff, the atmosphere is cosy with warm lighting & mellow African background music, and of course their delicious food. Been a regular for a few years now. Recommended
Lovely, cozy spot away from the crowds. Friendly host. The food is delicious and would highly recommend the combo which comes with lots of little curries served on injera bread (traditional Ethiopian bread). Very reasonably priced. Massive fan, will come again!
A boutique Ethiopia restaurant near QVM, heart of Melbourne. The service was friendly, educational and heart warming. I would have given 5 stars before the food even came... almost... I'm a reviewer ... I have to be careful. Then the food arrived... served in a beautiful traditional hat style presentation with 6 dishes. The tray underneath the food *is* the bread. You can probably ask for a fork but please don't.... wash your hands first if you want, this is eaten with your hands, same as Turkish bread or Bruschetta if you think it's new for you ... 6 beautiful little dishes... tear off the bread, take it I'm your hand and grab the stews. The fresh pepper of course is just roasted vegetables. Beer: 100% awesome I had a great night eating here and I'm very happy to give 5 stars or beyond. A lovely experience, very tasty 6 dish experience and staff who even took the time to tell me about what it will be like to travel.
I can't begin to express how authentic and delicious this food was! As we ordered a dish that's designed to be eaten with your hands, it was nice to be given hand sanitizer and extra napkins. The owner was warm and welcoming, and also recommended his favourite beer- they were tasty too.
Got the combination / share plate. Super delicious,, loved it. The guy working was very friendly and nice.
