Hubby and I always walked by on our way to the dog park and finally had the chance to have a lovely Valentine's dinner here yesterday. We had the Le Taj chicken, side platter, Mutter Paneer, rice and Naan. All were superbly delicious! We left with clean plates. The interior had a cozy ambience which I didn't expect looking from the outside. The staff were attentive and friendly. I'd recommend checking this out. It is now one of our fave Indian restaurants in the city.
I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with tasteful décor that reflected authentic Indian culture. The staff were attentive, courteous, and ensured we had a pleasant dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding—rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. The butter chicken was creamy and flavorful, the biryani was aromatic and well-balanced, and the garlic naan was fresh out of the tandoor. Each dish was a delightful representation of traditional Indian cuisine. Portions were generous, and the pricing felt fair for the quality offered. Whether you’re new to Indian food or a long-time fan, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and memorable culinary experience in Australia.
Had an amazing experience at this Indian restaurant! The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—one of the best I’ve had. The naan and lacha paratha were perfectly soft and flaky, great for soaking up all the delicious curries. The paneer biryani was aromatic, with just the right blend of spices, and the paneer was soft and fresh. The food was served hot, and the portions were generous. The ambiance was warm, and the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian flavors!
I’ve tried many Indian restaurants, but I was never fully satisfied with the food—until my friend introduced me to this place. That was honestly the best decision ever! The food here is absolutely amazing—authentic, full of rich flavors, and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the difference. The staff is friendly, and the owner goes above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. If you're looking for delicious, genuine Indian cuisine, this place is a must-try!
These people claim to be Melbourne's finest Indian restaurant, and I've certainly never been in a finer one. We are infrequent visitors to Melbourne and at some point our favourite Indian closed down for good, so we picked this as it was close to where we were staying and seemed well reviewed. From the start, the service was amazing. We were given the seat under the giant wall painting of a peacock that is also the front page of the menu. The entree was my favourite Onion Bhajjis, simply better than any I have had elsewhere. Mains we have Butter Chicken (Not too sweet, nice cumin flavour), Kashmiri Pulao (again, A dish I have all the time, best I have ever tasted) , Makhani Dhal (nice texture, not sloppy) and the Chicken Shahi Korma, which was really nice. Butter Naan was good but Aloo Paratha was sensational. Can't recommend this place enough, and they are the nicest people, warm and friendly.
