My friends from Jakarta said Kwetiau Akang is Jakarta's best kwetiau. Finally I tried their branch in Surabaya. Tried kwetiau siram babi, kwetiau siram babi seafood, mie goreng babi, and mie goreng telur; all are regular portions. The portion is fair (I think I need jumbo/large portion :D To accompany the cuisine, we ordered badak & liang teh. The taste is nice and the waiters are very friendly. They have 2nd floor for dining. The kitchen is in 1st floor so I suggest using tables on 2nd floor because it is cooler. Suggestion for this restaurant: your orange light is not enough to prevent flies. Please install anti insect UV light. The flies really pissed me off. Edited 2-Jun-24: wowww... the restaurant still do not install anti insect UV light eventhough flies are all around. Lowered my review.

The place made a great first impression with its charming Peranakan style interior. We ordered the kwetiau siram seafood and kwetiau goreng sapi. Both dishes were slightly under-seasoned, but still fine if we add some soy sauce. I appreciate their dedication to quality though, when we asked for the soy sauce, they quickly asked if something was wrong and even offered to recook the meals. When the food came back, it was perfect ?? Best service goes to this restaurant and their team ?

Tried this place for the first time, and it was worth it! I ordered the fried kway teow, and it tasted great—the wok aroma really came through. The ambiance and lighting are also very cozy

trust me when i say THIS IS FIRE!!! the flavour is sooo goodd. Usually, I am not a fan of lapchiong but this place is my only exception. My personal favourite is the nasi goreng udang & babi. Not to mention, they had the best customer service. Honestly, what more could you ask for? a MUST try if you are ever nearby (personally i’d travel hundreds of miles to eat here again?‍↕️).

This is the branch of the famous kwetiau akang in jakarta. I like their fried rice and fried kwetiauw, great taste and wok hay. Their new mala fried rice is delicious also, remeber dont order the level three one if u are not found of mala and numb flavor that come with it.
