Fort Cornwallis, Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah, George Town, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang
(2024) Nestled within Fort Cornwallis, it provides air conditioned relief during the hot tropical days. Food is generally good and tasty- fusion to some extent, expressions of popular local dishes in bite sized portions. Good for light to medium filling meals. The staff are generally attentive & polite. The atmosphere is nice, shady & air conditioned. Fair value for foreigners. Worth a try.
This place is excellent! It might be annoying to have to pay to get in but you can have the cost of entry deductible from your meal. Food and coffee are great! Portions are modest but for a reasonable price a nice light meal. Service is excellent. Free Wi-Fi and nice light music.
Had the cutest afternoon cup of coffee and cake here. You can deduct the 20 MYR entry ticket from your food and drinks, so in reality you don’t actually have to pay to enter
Beautiful and atmospheric cafe bistro ensconced within the most historical fort on Penang island. Choose a window side table to enjoy a nice view of the lawn greenery and original old stone walls of Fort Cornwallis. Be transported in your imagination back to the earliest time when the British landed on the island, as you enjoy a selection of fine and exquisite meals from the Kota Dine & Coffee menu. We opted for the delicious platter for 2 pax: Deep Fried Chicken with Tomato Curry, and it was the perfect choice. Curry tasted like a mildly spicy fusion blend, with aromatic notes of fresh spices, cardamom and cloves. For sides, try out the Chicken Satay. 3 flavoured creme brulee completed the sumptuous but lightly flavoured meal for us. The iced Signature and Sunrise beverages were excellent too.
