Level 2, KOMTAR JBCC, Jalan Wong Ah Fook, Bandar Johor Bahru, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia
The food was fresh and delicious. The salmon roe were big and juicy. The salmon and tuna were fresh and of good quality. The ramen was nice, not too salty. Services were prompt and immaculate. Will go back again if we happen to drop by the area again and need a place to have our dinner.
I absolutely loved the food and service at this restaurant. We ordered the salmon nabe while it was delicious I wish there were a few more slices of fish as five felt a bit too few and thin. However, what really impressed me was the attentive service, staff frequently checked on the fire to ensure the soup didn’t spill. Another highlight was the option to order just 4 pieces of maki, allowing us to sample different flavors and each one was fantastic. But the real star was the gyoza. The skin was so delicate, it practically melted in my mouth. The rest of the food was great too, can’t wait to return for more.
Chanced upon this Kinashi Japanese Restaurant @Komtar JBCC. I truly like the set meal: mini tempura don & mini udon with salad (vinaigrette dressing), priced at approx myr40 (forgot to keep receipt). Portion is just nice, where I can try 2-variety of food. Visited the next day with a friend for our Xmas Dinner (a-la-carte), around myr120-150 (reasonably priced to me, as can’t get this price in SG). Overall, a satisfying meal and a good dining experience. Quiet, clean & comfortable dining atmosphere. Servers are attentive & polite. Thank you for the pleasant evenings. Will revisit ?
Good dining experience! Must try their Kim Roll and Signature sushi roll. The Kim roll is sushi friend that is deep fried, providing good blend of tenderness and crunchy texture and completed with refreshing sour, yet umami sauce. Price is also affordable, 50RM+ for my 3 sets meals. The downside is they dont have Pork based meals.
Food: Ramen: Noodles were cooked well, not overcooked. Vegetables were not very high quality but tasty. Egg was perfect and the soup was also well seasoned and not too salty. Cha Shu was mediocre Chawanmushi: Very delicious with chicken, crabstick and mushroom. Egg was not too watery Beef cube: very flavourful, tender and medium-well, with tasty sauce and seasoning Service: Staff were on par but food took a while to come. Atmosphere: Restaurant looked very nice from inside and outside and was playing music.
