We recently celebrated my husband's birthday at this restaurant with a group of 15 family members, and it was a wonderful experience. The ambiance was stunning, with high-end decor that gave a very exclusive feel. Although the private rooms were fully booked, the staff was accommodating and set us up in a semi-private space that still felt special. The service was exceptional—the staff was attentive and ensured that all our orders were promptly taken care and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended for special occasions!
My family and I had lunch at Jibby Chow, and it was an overall enjoyable experience. The service was fantastic, with our waitress being both attentive and helpful. She even recommended some dishes that turned out to be good choices. We tried the Char Kuey Teow, which was a little too salty for our liking, but the flavour was rich and the savoury taste was definitely there. The drinks were a highlight, as they were refreshing and well-prepared. The dim sum, while decent, wasn’t particularly impressive but was still worth trying. It’s worth noting that the restaurant is on the pricier side, so keep that in mind if you’re dining on a budget. That said, the quality of service and overall experience does justify the cost to some extent. This is a great spot for lunch if you’re looking for excellent service and tasty food. With a few small improvements, it could easily become a favourite.
Rarely do I give a five-star rating, but this establishment truly deserves it. The food is consistently exceptional, regardless of the order chosen. The staff is always friendly and attentive, and the table service is both quick and efficient. The ambiance is incredibly comfortable, and the roasted chicken is a must-try. My wife particularly enjoys the aglio olio, and I highly recommend the dumplings as well.
The food was delicious, and the service was great too. I ordered a double-boiled soup that was full of fish maw and crabmeat—very tasty; I liked it so much. The lamb was excellent, with perfect texture, served with rice and soup. The service was also good. The waiter was very responsive.
It’s Mother’s Day, so what better way to treat Mom than to offer her an exceptional casual dining experience? First and foremost, let’s talk about the food. We ordered the Squid Ink Spaghetti Aglio Olio, Half a Peking Duck, and BBQ Glazed Lamb Belly. The pasta was alright; just the right amount of spiciness, however it was rather bland not as savory as I would’ve liked. The Peking Duck was my personal favorite, as it also comes with 8 pieces of Chinese Pancakes, so I had a lot of fun “designing” my “Fajita Wrap”; 2 slices of duck, some plum sauce, slices of cucumber and to top it off, sprinkle of spring onions! The BBQ Glazed Lamb Belly was pretty juicy and tender, and the savory sweet sauce hits all the right nodes on my taste buds! For drinks, I ordered the Ni Hao Coconut, which was coconut water mixed with coconut ice cream. The drink was very sweet, although as a coconut flesh eater I was annoyed that I had paid so much for the coconut (about 6 times roadside stall price), yet the flesh was so tough I can’t even dig it out with the provided spoon. So much wasted flesh. Regarding service staff, they were exceptionally professional and friendly. The staff who served us were very fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, which is a rarity nowadays. Finally, I must say that the restaurant is very comfortable. It was spacious, well air conditioned, and a very easy place to have a conversation with business partners, family members, relatives and significant others. The interior design is also contemporary and classy, making it a good place to update your socials on what you are doing today! All in all, I would likely revisit this place for a small celebration with family and friends in the near future, as it’ll be somewhere I’ll treat myself after a victory well earned!
