Great falafel, but don't go at noon unless you like standing in long lines. The crisp outside and grainy inside texture of the falafel itself rivaled it's deep flavor, with a good helping of tahini to really accentuate the sesame that contrasted nicely with the pickled peppers and veggies adding a nice extra crunch. I also asked for chili sauce which was a nice balance of chili, garlic and a bit of creaminess that must come from either a mayo or perhaps hummus proportion. The only slightly less than memorable aspect of this falafel wrap was the flatbread that turned from a dry wrap to a doughy and chewy almost gummy wrapper by the time I got down to the end. Perhaps it's my fault for taking my time to eat it. But I was also eating another falafel from a competing tent up the street to do a side by side, bite by bite comparison. After the comparison, I can clearly see the advantages for a cylindrical wrap as opposed to a flatter pita configuration - more evenly distributed ingredients for a more consistent combination of flavors for each bite, better balance, better texture combination, easier and less messy to eat. Also, I have to respect a man who eats the food he serves up for others as his own meal!
Usually I prefer falafel in pita bread versus wraps but these guys reconciled me with the wrap version. Super good value for money, even the small version is actually huge… 10/10
By far and away the best Falafels I’ve had in London! I believe the owners use a special recipe (that they won’t divulge) that results in a fresh, light and tasty falafel, which is not too greasy. The flatbreads are done on the spot and are to die for Worth the wait in the queue! I’d recommend this place
so lovely to meet these Egyptian brothers! the most generous people running this stall and such affordable yummy falafel wraps with fresh salad. jazakallah khairun
Delicious falafel wrap. Wraps are made fresh! I got the large wrap ( with 5 falafel pieces) for £8. Very good value and so tasty!!
