This is a near perfect family restaurant. The forest like atmosphere in the middle of megalopolis that is Jakarta is almost insanely tough to believe. Marry that with spot-on, elevated Indonesian dishes and that you've got is a formidable restaurant that is tough to beat in terms of experience and value. Reservation and service were professional and friendly. Faultless attention were given to the plating, surrounding (go around for a walkabout and enjoy the skyline) and the quality of the food. Our grilled fish and the peppery beef were highlights, but all the rest were also delicious. Hutan Kota deserves all of its accolades and I wouldn't hesitate to bring my overseas friends and business partners here.

The menu selection is massive. The Ramadan menu is nice, I like it a lot. They also have 2 other menus, just a little overwhelming to pick something for dinner. I had a mocktail local style with passionfruit and it’s nice, maybe a little on the sweet side. The ambience, surrounding is nice also, lovely view and it happened to be a clear day and I was sitting outdoor and it was lovely to be able to see some stars! Staffs were friendly too. I had a really pleasant time here.

The ambience is lovely and comfy. So comforting where we are surrounded by tree. The services were great but some of the staff not consistent about the services. The food taste delicious. They can bring national foos into a fine dining. Recommended to bring your clients and have a little business conversation in the middle of small haven in Jakarta.

Hutan kota by plataran is like an oasis in the desert. With so many sky crappers in the Sudirman Central Business District , this is the only place where you will feel it is like in the "jungle". With the many trees and well maintained park, it is a perfect place for a short "healing". You can walk from the Sudirman Central Business District, just cross the street. It is the opposite of the stock exchange building. Hutan kota by plataran is inside the Senayan Sport Complex. There are resto and bar in hutan kota by plataran. They serve local or traditional and also western food. Many choices of beverages as well. Its price is quite reasonable. It is a recommended place to hang out or for a meeting point. They also have a room that you may rent for an event, but there is a minimum number of pax.
