Saw this place highly rated on TripAdvisor with over 6000 reviews, so thought we’d give it a shot. Food was tasty, fresh & plentiful. Daisy was our waitress, and was pleasant & helpful. The restaurant was packed on a Friday night, yet still managed to get the meals out in a timely manner. Note, they do tend to ask you to rate them (on the spot) by scanning a QR code on your phone for their restaurant, right after your meal when paying. So probably accounts for how many actual reviews they get, & positive ones. With people feeling a tad pressured to say something nice about the food ,or the service. Not something we generally like, but as said this time, the food & service did justify a positive review.

I stumbled upon Hoang’s Kitchen and it turned out to be one of my favorite food spots in the city! I ordered the fresh rolls and the incredibly soft grilled pork with quail eggs — both recommended by Bear, one of the friendliest and most helpful staff I’ve met on my trip. The flavors were bold, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The grilled pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and paired with the quail eggs, it hit all the right notes. Bear really went above and beyond to make sure I had the best experience — from helping with the order to making great suggestions. It’s the kind of place that feels warm, local, and authentic. Highly recommend if you’re in Saigon and craving something genuinely good and comforting!

Great food and great ambiance! Pann was our waitress and she was very accommodating, even making recommendations on what food we should try and even instructing us how to make rice paper rolls. The Vietnamese and egg coffee are must tries!! Overall would definitely go back!

All round 5 stars. We happened to stumble across this while walking around Ho Chi Minh City, and it was phenomenal. Very cheap, with a vibrant yet not overwhelming or loud atmosphere. The service was amazing, especially our server Gin and Tonic. Great place for a bite to eat and a couple of beers.

We found this place by chance and Oh My God was this place superb. Our servers name was “Grinch” and he did an excellent job. He was ready to take our order with a smile and we had a blast. The food is so so yum that we went back for the second time. On our second visit we were served by Avo. She was also extremely pleasant and served us with a smile and made our experience very memorable. The food was just as tasty if not better. I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone who wants authentic Vietnamese food. Keep in mind when you place an order the food will come in 2-3 minutes which is crazy fast. So order your starters first and once you’re done with that then order the main course. Excellent food Excellent service Excellent ambience
