1/F A 22, Shu Tak Building, 30 Tai Wong St E, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
The restaurant's exterior is modest, but once you enter, you will feel welcomed. Traditional Nepalese artifacts decorate the interior, creating an authentic and culturally rich ambiance. This location is ideal for both small and large groups due to its comfortable seating arrangements. The menu contains a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Nepalese dumplings, Chicken Tikka, and Biryani are among the dishes you should try, along with other cuisines. Fresh ingredients and traditional cooking techniques produce flavorful and aromatic dishes that will satisfy your taste buds. They explain the dishes to make sure that diners are aware of the flavors and origins of their food. Those who prefer to dine at home can take advantage of the restaurant's takeout and delivery services. Despite the restaurant's understaffing, the owners' personal involvement in serving guests adds a personal touch and offers valuable insights into the dishes. : ⚪️ Enjoying an indulgent lunch buffet at $128 per head is a worthy experience. ⚪️ Location is convenient, near tram station. ⚪️ They have been around for many years. It implies that they're doing their utmost to please the majority of their customers. ?️??????
Not a fancy place, but very authentic with Hindi oldies playing in the background. The food is fresh and spicy with good portions. The Nepali owner is very friendly and you also get a complimentary papad before your food arrives. Highly recommended.
Tried their chicken momo, mutton briyani and curry chicken with mango lassi. It was good. My fav is the momos and mango lasi. Overall price is okay. I saw a lot of families came here to eat. A good place to dine with huge group and friends
It's been five long years since I had Himalaya, and my longing for Chicken Kalmi Kebab has finally been satieted temporarily. A cashew marinated chicken that is SO GOOD. Incredible tenderness, suitable for everyone with a low spice content but just exploding with a variety of flavors not hinted by its humble looks. With restaurants in Hong Kong struggling, DO NOT WAIT. Go and eat their food now. Appreciate the focus on service and food quality, not hyped up flair that we have come to see too much of in the current generation of new restaurants. The service is excellent, and everybody should come to love and know a longstanding place like Himalaya that has been open for decades. Everyone looks for the "hole in the wall" or "off the beaten path" with delicious food. Look no further.
Buffet is great-value choice on week days. HKD 128 including naan and a drink of choice. Food, buffet or not buffet, is very good and staff friendly and attentive.
