Recommend visiting this historical attraction. It is a museum documenting history and development of the Xian city. The old bell is still present. Set in the middle of a large roundabout, the views are worth climbing the stairs to get a 360 degree panoramic view of surrounding buildings and Xian city. Best to visit during late afternoon around sunset for best lighting and photography.

The largest round about inside old Xian city and the bell tower is in the center of it. Iconic landmark that you cannot missed. Bought the tickets online for both bell and drum tower on Ctrip together. The current location is not the historic location. Its past location is much nearer to drum tower. Not much to see but as tourist just visit once is enough. Btw, night time it is more beautiful.

You’re probably going to end up here whether you plan to or not—it’s smack in the middle of Xi’an. And I’m glad we did. It’s one of those places that’s more about the vibe than what’s inside. The tower itself is pretty, especially when it lights up at night. There’s a little exhibit inside, but don’t expect too much. What I liked most was standing on the upper level and watching the city swirl around us—cars looping endlessly, people rushing below, the whole city moving while the tower just sits there like, “Yep, still here.” Definitely do this one in the evening when it’s glowing. Combine it with a walk to the Drum Tower and maybe grab snacks after. Xi’an at night is low-key magical.

A beautiful monument right in the heart of the city. It truly comes alive at night when it’s lit up—grand, majestic, and impossible to miss. Crowds gather from all angles to snap photos, and it’s easy to see why. Absolutely loved it!
