Lot 512, Jalan Syed Mohamed Mufti, Bandar Johor Bahru, 80000 Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia
Stayed with my family in suite with 2 bedroom queen beds. Able to leave luggage at the hotel first before check in at almost 3pm. Since I am a IHG member they said I can do late checkout. Easy to grab around JB. Location is quiet so didn't hear much traffic noise at night. Good amenities, microwave, small fridge, relatively clean bathroom separate shower and toilet. Provided some utensils and plates. TV in all 3 rooms but they are not smart tv FYI. The master room had a window but the 2nd room I stayed in didn't have a window. Felt kinda claustrophobic lol. Sheets were clean with some spots. Had both firm and soft pillows Gym is well equipped dumbbells up to 25kg. Smith machine, lat pulldown machine, several cardio machines. Water provided. As a gym enthusiast myself would be pretty pleased to work out here during vacation. Breakfast is nothing to write home about tbh. I would rather eat breakfast outside for tastier fare. Overall pleasant stay. Staff were nice. The entrance looks like a seaside theme with the whites and blues
All the stars are earned entirely by the friendly front desk! Of many IHG hotels we’ve been to, surprisingly this is one that really recognises “status” even though we are now just at silver. We djdnt even get as good a service at intercontinental elsewhere when we had higher tiers previously. So it was a very pleasant surprise. We were also granted a late check out with no questions asked. That said, the rooms are very small (maybe because of the queen size bed). Walls are very thin. Location is not the best, we had to grab everywhere. Parking was good, there is indoor parking with a security guard. Minor hiccup was when the towels were moldy, but these were very swiftly changed. The room was actually still very clean and dust-free. Breakfast was a decent spread for a holiday inn express. Overall, I really want to commend the team for keeping up their enthusiasm - this is a hotel where the service of the front desk really shines despite the less glamorous “hardware”.
Solid choice if you know what you are looking for Room- essential, functional, top notch cleanliness Location- will not recommend for anyone not driving or comfortable taking grab around. Otherwise, it's good that it's away from the RTS construction site. Free secured parking onsite with TnG validated Breakfast- decent given the overall value proposition and the price paid. Plenty of options to go around with a live eggs station. Services- top notch super friendly front desk. Recognizes IHG membership privileges where possible. Upgrade not possible when hotel is fully booked over the weekends being perfectly understandable
