We popped here as we were looking for a vegan friendly place around the Young V&A. We arrived on the weekend before lunch so grabbed a couple of salads and a couple of desserts, all vegan! They have a toddler seat which is great and the atmosphere is nice. The only downside is that they don't label the salads so it's not easy to tell what's in them.
My favourite cafe ever!!!!!! The staff are so lovely and kind, the atmosphere is amazing! I love love love the garden!! So peaceful and cute! The food is on another level!!!!!! So delicious and unique not like other cafes where the only vegan option they have is ago on toast or yoghurt and granola:,)) 100% recommend x
The Gallery Café, nestled within St. Margaret’s House in Bethnal Green, London, is a 100% plant-based establishment celebrated for its innovative vegan cuisine and community-centric ambiance. During my recent breakfast visit, I indulged in a soy latte, the tofu benny, and a chocolate raspberry cake—each dish surpassing expectations. The soy latte was expertly crafted, boasting a rich and frothy consistency that complemented the café’s locally-ground coffee beans. The tofu benny stood out with its flavourful tofu scramble and perfectly toasted sourdough, embodying the café’s commitment to delicious, sustainable food. The chocolate raspberry cake provided a delightful balance of rich cocoa and tart berry flavours, concluding the meal on a high note. Despite a bustling morning, the barista managed both order-taking and coffee preparation with remarkable efficiency and professionalism, ensuring a seamless experience for all patrons. The Gallery Café’s dedication to fresh, daily-made vegan dishes, coupled with its cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, makes it a must-visit spot for both plant-based enthusiasts and those seeking quality food in East London.
Great little spot with relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a breakfast or lunch. I opted for the tofu benedict followed by a slice of raspberry cake, both delicious, and a huge soy latte to go with it. £18 in total, which for London, is pretty decent value ??
