We went on 21 January 2025 after lunch just to try the... I forgot what it's called, but I think it was the smores chocolate drink. It was really sweet—so much so that we had to share it and chug two bottles of water each! But I guess that's just because we don’t have much of a sweet tooth. I’ll definitely come back to try their over beverages and pastries!

1. You have to come early once it opens bcs the queue might be long as they’re short on staffs (maybe idk but i went there and only 1 staff were working and only 5 customers can go in one at a time)

2. The desserts are good. We ate the carrot cake and croissant i think and its so goodd (dont ask me the overall costs bcs i might faint)

3. THE INFAMOUS HOT CHOCOLATE (its too sweet even for someone who has a sweet tooth. Brought it back to the hotel and i made two glasses of ice choc of it. Its good tho. Would definitely come back to try the other menu

Of course, Haji Lane needs no introduction, and this French-American bakery is all over social media, going viral. Hence, we had to try their hot chocolate to see if it lives up to the hype. The presentation, the look, the bakery itself, the packaging, and the color scheme are all marvelous—top-notch branding. However, there is no dine-in area, not even a place to sit. The staff are friendly, though.

As for the hot chocolate, it didn’t live up to expectations. It was too sweet, and I think the chocolate or the milk just wasn’t balanced right—it was more about the presentation than the taste. On the other hand, the pastries, especially the pain au chocolat, were fantastic. They looked super delicious and tasted just as good as they looked.

I do think they should consider adding at least a table and chairs, either inside or outside the shop. It would be nice to sit down and enjoy a hot drink and pastries, especially when it rains. Just my humble thoughts!

Chocolaty goodness! Incredibly rich and creamy.
The sweetness of the torched marshmallow goes well together with the bitter taste of the chocolate drink. Recommended.

Tried this place after seeing their hot chocolate all over my FYP. Came on a weekday so luckily no queue at all.

I also tried their croissants, and they were actually good!

But the hot chocolate… way too sweet for me. And that’s saying something because I love sweet stuff. I only managed like three sips before tossing it out (felt so bad about it, huhu).
