My fiancé took me here for my birthday dinner, and it was a lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere for a date night. The T-bone was cooked a bit too rare for my liking, but the highlight of the meal was the pumpkin soup that came with our bread starter—it was the best pumpkin soup I’ve ever had! A wonderful dining experience overall.
A hidden gem you could easily miss. This place has an excellent menu and fancy desserts, Lunch prices sit around $24, for a well presented gourmet meal. There are two levels, The lower level has a great view of the kitchen so you can see your meal being prepared. The warm and cosy atmosphere is very welcoming and the background music creates the perfect setting to sit and talk. If you head upstairs there is a bar and extra tables. The furniture is more luxurious and creates a magical vibe, with the wonderful aromas drifting up from the kitchen. This space feels worlds away and time passes quickly. The service is very professional and attentive, and food arrives within 15min or so.
Overall: 4/7 If paying full price I would be disappointed by the experience, but at a discounted rate this was a solid meal. The food is a bit hit or miss and found the service quite lacklustre also. A bit impatient and also not very attentive. Also seats facing the chandelier above their stairs are very uncomfortable due to how bright the chandelier is. Tartare: 5/7 Beef was cut down quite a bit smaller than expected so texture was more on the mushy side, otherwise this was great. With a bit of added salt and pepper. Confit pork belly: 4/7 Not too sure what the confit brings to the table here, pork wasn’t super tender and Skin also wasn’t very crispy. Still tastes decent though. The funny sauce they have at the bottom was… confusing, a bit sour and bitter? Lamb rack: 5/7 Pretty good! Generous portion and was cooked well to medium rare, leaning rare. Sauce went well with it. Duck breast: 3/7 Quite disappointingly cooked - very uneven. Clearly just kept it skin side down for a long time and the skin still wasn’t crispy. The beetroot and sauce also didn’t contribute much to the dish. Cauliflower gratin: 5/7 Tasty! Seasoned well, very soft cauli without being mushy. Apple rhubarb crumble: high 5/7 Very nice! Especially with the ice cream. I think as a stand-alone it’s a bit too sweet and sour, but with ice cream it’s lovely. Do think they could provide a bit more ice cream though.
Comfortable and romantic environment, very organised. Excellent food and great service! Everyone was very attentive, especially the manager Rodrigo who treated us very well. We definitely recommend it and we will come back more often.
Steak was perfect, one of the side was an amazing(cauliflower dish), desert was average Felt like lack of staff compared to customers and had to wait longer time if we need something to order. Vibes were perfectly good. We went for date night that was fresh feeling for us to try something special. If you want something special then should try this restaurant. Really impressed open kitchen maintained so clean and tidiness. Only sad thing was little bit confused the restaurant location.
