I had the tuna sandwich set ($16.60), which included soup and a drink. While the food was okay and the staff friendly, the price felt a bit high for a sandwich set. The seating is limited as the area is not very big but it’s enough for a quick bites.

It was my first time travelling close to 30km to Sengkang Hospital. I had decided to dine at this outlet while waiting for the peak hour traffic to ease before heading back. I'm amazed at Sheela's impeccable hospitality. First, she sent a young staff to consult a doctor as he was not feeling unwell and ensured that there was another staff to accompany him to the clinic. As it was close to 9am, human traffic built up and Sheela was managing the store single-handedly. Every customer, which by then a snaking queue had already formed, had multiple orders. Sheela had never once lost her patience. Even when she had made a wrong order, she apologised to the customer in a pleasant manner. The most impressive thing about Sheela is, she was multitasking, setting the heater to warm up food, communicating on the phone (probably with HQ on deployment of staff matters), making multiple sandwiches and drinks, as well as to ensure that food was sent into the oven to bake. As I had checked earlier (10 to 9am) on when the tuna feuilletes would be ready, Sheela had been assuring me a few times that the feuilletes would be ready in x minutes, of which I replied that she could serve the crowd first. Sheela is such an exemplary staff that any F&B industry would want to treasure and retain. I hope Delifrance will do its utmost best to reward and retain Sheela.

Sheila is always a welcoming face and warm person. I love visiting the SKGH outlet. Small, quaint, homey and amazing staff. Thank you for always welcoming me with a smile. Great team!

Delifrance Café @ Sengkang Hospital Tucked inside Sengkang Hospital, Delifrance Café turned out to be an unexpected gem – not just for its food, but for the truly exceptional service. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm, genuine welcome from a lovely Malay lady crew member. She didn’t just say “hello” — she made every customer feel seen and appreciated, offering her recommendations with sincerity and a bright smile. While I initially declined the weekday sandwich bundle, she gently suggested upgrading my order to a set with a drink and soup or dessert — not in a pushy way, but with care and consideration. That kind of personal attention is rare these days. After payment, she didn’t just move on to the next customer. She ended with a heartfelt “thank you” and “do come again,” something surprisingly uncommon in many places across Singapore. What stood out even more was her consistency — every single customer got the same warm treatment. And when there was a lull, she didn’t idle — she cleaned and organized her counter with the same dedication. Kudos to her — she’s a shining example of what great service should be. Honestly, more service staff should take a page from her book. The only downside? The kitchen isn’t soundproof, so you can occasionally hear the kitchen staff chatting from the dining area. But that’s a minor hiccup in an otherwise relaxing café where you can enjoy a quiet meal or coffee break. Highly recommended for both the food and the outstanding service — especially if you’re lucky enough to be served by that incredible staff member.
