A Hidden Gem for Vegetarian Dining in Kuala Lumpur Nestled within a serene temple in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, this place offers a delightful escape into the world of vegetarian cuisine. This quaint eatery serves humble yet delicious dishes that perfectly cater to the needs of both vegetarians and those looking to explore plant-based options. With its affordable prices, it’s an excellent choice for anyone looking to enjoy a wholesome meal without breaking the bank. The atmosphere during lunch time is vibrant and bustling, reflecting the eatery's popularity among locals and visitors alike. One of the highlights for me is the unique culture of cleanliness encouraged here. Diners are kindly prompted to clean their own plates after meals, fostering a sense of community and respect for the dining environment. As you make your way to the dining area, the entrance and walkway are adorned with Buddhist chants that create a calming and relaxing ambiance. It’s the perfect backdrop for enjoying a meal that nourishes both the body and soul. Overall, this vegetarian restaurant stands out not just for its flavorful vegetarian offerings but also for its inviting atmosphere and commitment to cleanliness. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur!
A canteen style set up within the Buddhist Monastery located in the middle of the city. It gets crowded during lunch time by all sorts of patrons from office workers to tourists. Food is simple, tasty, home-cooked style, and cheap. You can see the aunties all over the place preparing the veg and fruits, cooking, washing the dishes. It’s truly a community. I ate here everyday during my 1 week stay in KL. They also have a range of desserts/snacks offering and everything was good ?
Heard so much about this monastery and its food options so we had to try it. The food is served at lunch and towards the end almost all is done. The dishes keep changing and once a tray of food is done, the same may be replaced with something entirely new. There are no labels as what the dishes are called. So if it looks good go for it. It is walking distance from twin towers The entire menu is onion and garlic, meat and dairy free. The food we ate was simple, with very little spice but yet so flavourful and tasty. A must for any vegan/vegetarian while visiting KL. The food very reasonably priced and the nearby workers from around visit here.
Vegetarian Buffet lunch place behind very beautiful and calm Buddhist shrine. You have lot of pure veg options and you can take some of each and they will bill you approximately for all at the end. All food was a bit sweet of lot of soya options so better check if you like spicy and salty food all options are not for you.
Wanted to try this place for quite sometimes and finally we did it. The food was fresh, full with variety and affordable. It’s such a blessing to have simple home cooked food in the city and it reminds us of our childhood. Definitely will come back again.
