Went here on a Monday morning. Got seated immediately. We called for vadas, rava sada dosa, masala triangle dosa and filter coffee. Rava and masala dosas were average. Like any other restaurant. Vadas were very nice and crispy. Their tomato chutney is AMAZING. And the same goes for filter coffee. Amazing filter coffee.

Located at Juhu, Dakshinayan is a great south indian cuisine dining experience. There was a queue ahead of us, so we had to wait for our turn. But the waiting area has comfortable searing arrangement. I tried the Mogla podi masala dosa amd Tatte Idli. Both of them tasted great, but as both of them were filled with molga podi powder/gunpowder it was too much for me to take as I don’t have that high of a spice/masala tolerance. So if you don’t have much spice tolerance, I would suggest not to order a whole portion of it, maybe share or have a few bites instead. The sweet lassi and butter milk were amazing though!

It's an authentic South Indian restaurant. The types of chutneys they have. Damn! It was top notch. Rating the food we had - 1. Tatte Idli Served in a banana leaf with molgapodi masala and a lot of butter. 5/5 2. Filter coffee I have always been a black coffee person. Never thought something would give cut throat competition to international blends. Filter coffee from India has proved me wrong. It was soo good. 10/5 3. Mysore Masala Dosa It's a dicey review. As a masala dosa it deserves 10/10. But as Mysore masala dosa, Mumbai has better. So 3.5/5 for Dosa. 4. Bisbelle Bhaat It's good. Lots of veggies and healthy stuff with butter/ghee definitely. Quite homely subtle taste. 4/5 5. Chutney and Sambhar Yes! It deserves a different rating. They serve two different chutneys. One basic coconut chutney and Sambhar. That's where they have won our hearts. It's awesome. Price: For a South Indian it might feel pricey. But considering the locality and quality, it gives justice. Atmosphere: It was nice and subtle, even though it's a busy restaurant while waiting even on weekdays early in the morning. There's no chaos. Vibe is good. Service : Staff has been really good at guiding what to order. Prompt service. Helpful staff. I forgot to mention the mukhwas. It's nice. We literally sat down to consume it after food.

1.. Location: the road opposite ISKON temple in Juhu. Food: The food was excellent. Service was prompt. Ambience was cozy. Ideal place to go with your family. But if you're planning to go for your breakfast, then be ready to wait as the place is almost always crowded in the mornings. Food ordered: We had Sada Dosa, Rava Sada Dosa, Medu Vada, Traingle Masala Dosa, Thatte Idli, filter coffee, and ice cream. 2. After a 30-minute wait, finally we got a seat at the overcrowded, very popular food destination of Mumbai-- *DAKSHINAYAN*. This place has literally become our 2nd and 4th Saturday favourite breakfast joint in Mumbai now. Food ordered: Molgapodi Idli-- delicious Paniyaram-- nice Tomato Uttapam -- Good Sada Dosa-- Okay Waiters are more or less prompt. The best part of any South Indian joint is the availability of unlimited Chutney and Sambar?.

One of the best South Indian restaurants in the city. The best part of Dakshinayan is the simplicity and focus on quick service and great-tasting food. We ordered the spicy pepper masala dosa, the besibelle huliana (basically a really tasty khichdi type dish), the rawa sheera and trust me, they all came within 15 minutes steaming hot. Simple, no-nonsense service, piping hot food which tastes amazing, and quick checkout. There is parking available at the site, but no valet. The pricing is extremely competitive, especially for a restaurant occupying such prime real estate. I shall definitely go back to Dakshinayan again.
