In this place I liked the price the most. Everything is very affordable. And very vegetarian, so if you are looking for proteins or meat I suggest you to skip the place. I had summer rolls and vegetarian sushi. Both were ok, but I didn’t like soy/fake meat inside. It should be better quality imo. Staff was extremely slow, it took me ages to even get a menu. Luckily I wasn’t in a hurry. I can recommend the place only in case you’re a very patient vegan.
We had the soup and mushroom porridge which were really nice and big portions, the fried mushrooms were so so. For drinks i had the passion fruit juice without sugar and it was amazing. Overall the food is price nicely and am definitely going here again to try other things. I recommend to go here
Great vegan menu, lots of traditional Vietnamese and Asian dishes that normally have meat have been made vegan. We loved the sweet and sour 'ribs' and the tofu salad, and the lemonade. You'll have to look for the yellow Com Chay sign on the roadside as the actual shop is down an alleyway off the road. Small restaurant is attended by nice ladies.
Com Chay was the 2nd loving hut we visited in Hanoi. The weather was chilly and we ordered a Thai hotpot. Fragrant and delicious with spices, mushrooms, veggies and noodles. The portions were huge. Excellent value for money. Also ordered the mackerel with five spices dish as well. It was nice. The owner doesn’t speak English but she’s very friendly. She also sells vegan products like vegan coffee and plant-based meats.
The most amazing, freshly cooked, delicious food served by two amazing ladies. We had the sweet & sour tofu and the "chicken" in ginger and lemongrass both to die for. We liked it so much we got some to take away
