Staying in the Shangri-La so had complimentary access to Café Kool and Horizon Club due to my Diamond Membership Level. Very good food for the countless times I’ve been here - open everyday from 6:30(?) to 10:30 for buffet breakfast. There are a wide variety of cuisines to choose from, with a noodle and fried egg bar. Overall, I’ve had most of their types of eggs, which are of good quality. It would be even better if the Tea Eggs had more ‘Tea’ taste in them. The salmon is ok for most of the time I’ve had them. Cereal and fruit is good too.

Tried the seasonal seafood romance buffet at $768 - 35% + 10% service charge for staying guests. A big variety of food including a sushi bar. Recommended.

Honestly, Cafe Kool at the Kowloon Shangri-La is one of the best hotel dinner buffets I’ve ever been to. They kicked off the holiday buffet early this year (in November), and the vibes are really cool, lots of neon lights and beautiful Christmas decor right at the entrance. The food quality is unbelievable. We actually had a hard time deciding what to grab first! • Seafood: The selection is luxurious. They have an expensive cold seafood tower, fresh lobster, sashimi, sea cucumbers, shrimp, and fish. • Meat Station: The variety is unimaginable. They have everything from Spanish hams and roasted beef to Japanese BBQ meats and Tandoori chicken. • Noodles: Don't skip the noodle station; the Hong Kong noodles and Singapore Laksa were great. The dessert station is so expansive I can't even remember all the selections, but I stuck to the Chinese desserts and loved the egg tarts and the grass jelly with red bean. Service was super attentive the whole night. Pro-tip: We bought our buffet tickets on the KKday app and got a 15% discount. Definitely check there before you book!

Hotel breakfast buffets are typically high in occupancy. At 8 a.m. there was still a long queue at the entrance before you get to be seated. The cafe was huge so you’d understand the variety which aside from breakfast extends to lunch and dinner choices. Not a breakfast eater myself but the little food I had was delicious. It’s impossible to try all.
