Samdach Louis Em St. (282), Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Little bit tricky to find from the main road but we got there in the end, just down a little alley way, turn left and you should see it. Trendy little place, basic inside but comfortable. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The single and double cheese burgers were pretty good, tastes similar to a famous burger chain. Freshly made in your view, not too greasy and a good deal for the extra $2 for fries and a beer. It was around $15 for the two burgers, both with fries and beers. My only tiny issue is I found them quite small in size but perhaps I am just a bit greedy. Worth a visit for a quick and tasty burger.
We really liked this place. The food was tasty... Basic, but tasty! There were also vegetarian/vegan options too!! The staff were super friendly and the food came quickly and hot. I would recommend, especially if you need a little break from rice and noodles! Google took us to roughly the right place but as it's in a little warren of side roads with other restaurants it wasn't the easiest to find. So look out for the orange 'guardian' pharmacy and go down the alley next to it (if you are looking at the pharmacy, the alley is to the left). Go to the end and turn left... Then left again and you'll see Burgershack on the right.
Amazing Burgers and the best fries in Phnom Penh! I would say: whole Cambodia. They slightly better than Fiveguys in USA and Europe, but seem quite similar. But they do it with more passion. Burger Shack is located in a trendy, new food district that’s absolutely worth the visit. A quiet place beside the vibrant streets. The burgers are fantastic—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And the fries? Easily the best I’ve ever had in Cambodia—crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. Also perfect with children, they have LEGO and toys for the kids to play. Great food, cool vibes, and friendly service. I’ll definitely be back! (And came here four times, always the same quality. I would like to have this restaurant in Europe, too. Please open a branch in Kampot, Sihanoukville and Siem Reap.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 The Burger Shack – Phnom Penh’s Hidden Burger Gem ?? This place is my go-to guilty pleasure and an absolute hidden gem. I’ve brought friends, clients — even my business partner here — and everyone leaves happy (and full). The jalapeño burger? ? Hands down the MVP. Spicy, juicy, and packed with flavor. And don’t even get me started on the cheese sticks — I seriously dream about those things. They’re golden, gooey, and totally addictive. Fries are decent, but I’m really here for the burger-cheese stick-beer combo. Grab a Cambodian beer, kick back, and just chill for an hour or two before diving back into work mode. Unpretentious, tasty, and consistently awesome. Long live The Shack. ?
