Phenomenal Vegan food! We bought the Ginger Beef Dumplings, Philadelphia Maki Roll, and Shoya Ramen with a really tasty sunny side up egg in it! ??? Best Vegan Sushi Ever!
NOTE : this is vegan sushi, in case you found this by mistake. If not, this was a great experience - and I'm not vegan or vegetarian or anything (I eat everything). But the sushi was amazingly full of flavor, and the shitake dishes were the best shitakes I've ever had - something to do with the fresh mushroom and the special tangy sauce they had. I think the spicy tuna roll and the mango rolls were the best, but really everything else was flavorful as well. The waiter was VERY accommodating - even after 3 of our party left because they were looking for "real" sushi. Rest of us stayed for the experience and weren't disappointed. Make sure to order some mushroom dishes!
Amazing food. The truffle dumplings are probably the best dumplings I've ever had, including the ones from before I went vegan. The salmon sushi and spicy tuna maki were absolutely perfect, and tasted just like non-vegan sushi. The only suggestion I have is to make the menu outside a little clearer that this is an ALL VEGAN resturant. 3 other groups walked in around the same time as me and had no idea it was 100% vegan. I suspect this happens a lot. Didn't impact my experience, but id imagine those 3 groups felt bamboozled. Although, if they had eaten there, I think they would have been satisfied.
I was walking in to grab the cheesecake and didn't got disappointed, it was delicious. I got asked before if I would have an nut allergy and just was waiting a couple of minutes. $13,06 included tax There are some benches close by if you want to take a seat, enjoy the cake and watch people.
The vegan sushi here is top notch! Every bite I took was an explosive taste of flavor. Absolutely an incredible experience with vegan sushi! I ordered the spicy crab sushi and the serving was a great portion. For dessert, the Ube cheesecake is a must! It was so good that I visited the restaurant again the next day for the same thing while staying my weekend in NY. I will definitely be back every time when I return. This hidden gem was the best part of my visit.
