Bao An Vegan Street Food is a small, friendly Vietnamese restaurant serving tasty vegan food. It's a nice, cozy place to eat. They have great banh mi, noodles and snacks. The noodles with peanut sauce are really good! The family who runs the restaurant wants to promote veganism in Vietnam, specifically focusing on affordable street food. They have information around the restaurant about healthy plant-based eating and even vegan egg substitutes. Just remember they close at 7 pm, so check before you go.
The food here is safe, delicious and filling, I loved the experience of sitting on the street without having to compromise on quality of food. Plus as a pack packer it was super affordable. My personal favourite was the pillow dumplings! The only problem I had was the food looked so good I forgot to take photos of what it looked like, but I got the aftermath?
Had brunch here today and it was sooooo delicious! I had the banh mi and crab pho—both were amazing, but the banh mi was next-level. Honestly, probably the best vegan banh mi I’ve had so far! The staff were super kind and helpful, and the whole vibe of the place is really homey and welcoming. I also loved seeing all the veganism statements and signs around—it adds such a nice touch. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Hanoi!
Delicious banhmi with crispy bread! Love the ethics of the family owner, no waste either. Good for the animals, for the climate and for our stomachs! Sat down on one of the 2 small tables in the alley, but they also had a few tables inside. It's indeed a bit indeed, not right on the street!
A cute little family-run restaurant tucked away—such a hidden gem! The owners are incredibly sweet, and the food, just wow! It is absolutely delicious. I’ve been here twice now and will definitely be coming back. The menu includes a lovely little story about their business, which adds such a wholesome, personal touch. I’ve uploaded a photo because it really is worth sharing!
