This is the best place on the island and one of the best I have come across in Indonesia. Wonderful value for money, unbeatable quality and both local and somewhat friendlier options when you want to change. I have been there several times. The staff is amazing. I tried tempe and tofu curry, delicious and the Bowl, amazing. It is a must on Gili Air!

Aura’s Bowls in Gili Air is a true gem! It’s a small, family-run warung where everything is cooked fresh, right in front of you, by the loveliest big family. The food is absolutely delicious — we ate there every single day during our stay, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and every meal was pure joy. You can really taste the love in their cooking. The portions are very generous and the prices are incredibly low — a full meal for two (with starter, main course, drinks, and dessert) cost us only 12 to 15 euros, depending on what we ordered. I 100% recommend it to anyone visiting Gili Air who wants to enjoy authentic, traditional food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We visited Aura's Bowl every day during our stay on Gili Air – and absolutely loved it! Everything we tried was fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared, from the vibrant fruit bowls and local Indonesian dishes to the smoothies and juices. The peaceful location on a quiet side street adds to the relaxed vibe, and the staff are genuinely warm and friendly. Prices are very affordable, especially for the quality you get. A wonderful spot we’d recommend to anyone visiting the island!

Cute place. Very friendly waiters. Good food for a good price. Only cash! EDIT: came back one day later and got the chicken curry for dinner. IT WAS AMAZING. Will be back for dinner tomorrow again :)
