Recommend by a Malaysian friend and came for our last meal for the trip. Loved it! The dishes were done very well, portion size is just right. We ordered the Buah Keluak Ayam, Nyonya Achar, and Otah. We loved the Pandan rice as well! Service was amazing, food came very fast as well. The sambal here is DELISH as well.
Visited Atlantic Nyonya restaurant and overall had a good experience! A must-try is their Ulam Bendi — super fresh and pairs perfectly with their signature sambal. The starter course crackers were also surprisingly good. My husband thought it might be a waste of space since we traveled from far, but luckily I didn’t skip it — definitely worth trying with their sambal sauce! Highly recommend ordering the Sambal Petai Sotong Udang — delicious and flavorful! The Ayam Rendang was moderate for me, but my husband loved it. On the downside, the Telur Cincalok was not tasty at all and really needs improvement. The Nyonya Cendol was also not quite to my liking. Although you can add as much coconut sugar as you want (which is a nice touch), I found the coconut sugar not very fragrant, so I didn’t feel like ordering a second bowl. Overall, there are some dishes I would definitely go back for, but a few items could be improved. Still a good place to enjoy some authentic Nyonya flavors!
First meal arriving at Melaka for our June holiday. With 2 younger children, it is a little difficult to order the spicy dishes, but we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. - the Nasi Padang is a clear winner for everyone; the rice was fragrant and delicious, similar to chicken rice - Ayam Pandan was good, flavourful chicken wrapped in Pandan leaf - Ayam ponteh with tender chicken well marinated in the sweet sauce - prawn omelette is a bit bland - sotong petai was spicy and tasty but there wasn’t a lot of petai to be found and the sotong didn’t have much flavour - cendol was good, can add gula melaka as your sweet tooth desires
The food was quite delicious However, it wasn’t exactly authentic Peranakan dishes. It was more of halal food, which I can say was quite delicious in its own right.
