The authentic smell of Indian spices welcomes you, then you see the smile of the staff. At that point, if you haven’t smiled yet, then wait for the food , and the feeling of home cooking, will extract the good mood out of you even if you have kept it drop down in your pockets. I tried only once this place, and only vegetarian options. I found them to be tasty without being heavy, as typical of south India. There is not much choice in Tokyo, but this one is definitely a valid choice, It’s even cheap considering how satisfied I was afterwards. Recommended
Excellent service and large portions! They specialize in South Indian dishes. We came during a holiday which costs a bit more. At the time they were only accepting cash. We were seated and served quickly. The place was busy during lunch hours but there’s quite a few seats inside.
Cozy little restaurant on the 2nd floor. The owner/manager was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the food served. They managed to accommodate the 2 of us on a very busy evening when a large party was filling the restaurant. Super tasty vegetarian options and they were able to cater for my low spice tolerance. ? Nice to see the friendly chefs working in the open kitchen. Not a fancy upmarket place, but good food at a good price in cozy surroundings. We returned 3 days later on a quieter evening and I was thrilled to find they'd kept my scarf which I'd no idea I'd left there. ???♂️?
My daughter and I had the butter chicken and tandoori Naan. The sauce was amazing. You can really taste the impact of the fresh curry leaves. It gives the sauce a wonderful floral undertone. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Tokyo.
It was my first time at a South Indian restaurant, but it was delicious I especially liked the mutton curry
