This is the best baklava I've ever had and is very similar to that which I had in the Middle East. They were accommodating to my 9 year old request for plain cheese burger. Where my husband and I share the combo plate for two of lamb a d chicken. My daughter stole some of the saffron rice. Beautiful atmosphere with details that accommodate a diverse audience for a dining experience.

Everything was perfection. From the atmosphere, to the service, top tier and such delicious wholesome and large portions of beautiful authentic Persian food. I’d recommend this place to anybody. The saffron ice cream was so divine, the owner really cares about his craft and has great conversation. The restaurants ambience is perfect for date night, or even to bring the whole family. We love this place and will be regulars. ? Bonus, everything is served so beautifully in amazing dishes.

A charming Persian restaurant with vintage, traditional decor — my second time trying Persian cuisine, and it was a delightful experience. Shahi (1 skewer of Joojeh & 1 skewer of Chenjeh) – 2.5/5 This set includes one beef filet skewer and one chicken skewer. The beef was tender, juicy, and soft, with a subtle sourness and rich BBQ-smoked flavor. It was good. However, the chicken skewer was a bit dry and overly chewy. The seasoning overall was too mild to bring out the flavor of the meats. The salad and saffron rice were just average. Saffron Persian Ice Cream – 5/5 Absolutely perfect! This ice cream had a unique, herbal flavor unlike anything I’ve had before. The saffron taste reminded me of a blend between ginger and mint — incredibly refreshing and perfectly balanced with the creamy vanilla base. Baklava – 5/5 A must-try traditional homemade Persian dessert. It was incredibly crispy and bursting with the aroma of roasted nuts. A perfect way to end the meal.

Absolutely loved our visit to Akdeniz Persian Restaurant. The food was so tasty and authentic, especially the Koubideh kebab, with generous portions. The staff were friendly and made us feel right at home. Overall a fantastic experience, will definitely be back when I’m next in Auckland.

Excellent wheatmeal toasted sandwich (3 fillings) and large coffee for $10. Good lunch for a cool winter's day thank you. We sat in the walk through but there's also a dining area. Those people work fast and very efficient. We bought a huge blueberry muffin to take away. $3 and I've never seen such a monster! They were very busy and deserve to do well!
