Sofitel people's grand is a top hotel. The service was exquisite from the butler team to the front desk staff. We were given a suite upgrade, which was a good size suite with a classic design. The location is in a private square in the middle of Xi'an within walking distance to the city walls and many restaurants. Absolutely the place to stay when visiting Xi'an and the terra cotta warriors.

Sofitel Grand is nothing short of extraordinary. Steeped in history, the building exudes opulence and grandeur, nestled in a prime location. The hotel's ambiance is enchanting, making it a true legend in its own right. It even boasts its own charming little museum. But what truly sets this magnificent hotel apart is its outstanding staff, the lifeblood of the establishment. This is where Sofitel Grand truly excels. A special shoutout to Chief Butler Farsave, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He showed us around, assisted with numerous arrangements, and even organized a morning tai chi class for us. Kudos to Front Office Manager Danny, who ensured our stay was top-notch by upgrading our suite as Diamond members. The room was nothing short of spectacular. The concierge and bell desk team always greeted us warmly, even looking out for us when it rained. A special mention for Eva for her exceptional service. Hats off to Tracy, the restaurant manager. She and her team remembered our preferences, serving up delightful French toast and fried noodles for breakfast every day. If you're seeking a hotel with exceptional service staff, look no further. Sofitel Grand is the ultimate choice.

This is a gorgeous hotel with very attentive staff. We were there during Golden Week and yet it was very quiet. Sometimes we were the only people in the dining room. The room was spotlessly clean with all the necessary amenities and the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The hotel is near many of the sites in central Xi'an and not too far from the Terracotta Warriors.

Loved this place - Wilson and Danny the Butlers were Amazing. Especially Wilson just went above and beyond on everything - Really loved my stay here. Wonderful room and lovely property and really enjoyed the fantastic breakfast with european and chinese options. Amazing stay and would come back and stay again in a heartbeat. Wilson the butler was amazing and just organized my stay in Xi'an and helped me with various things and booked a trip to the terra cotta warriors and was just superb. Loved this property and would stay here again without a second thought if/when back in Xi'an.

Hotel - Elegantly renovated heritage building. Very comfortable spacious rooms with tasteful interior decors - Hotel is situated inside a large compound with lush landscape, enjoyed a leisure walk after breakfast - Good location with easy access to main attraction sites and railway stations We are glad we chose Sofitel Legend over the other hotels located around the tourist sites (eg Drum & Bell Towers, Wild Goose Pagoda) which are always busy and noisy with crowds throughout the day Staff - Highlights of our stay. We were very well taken care of by staff in the Concierge, Front Desk and Breakfast venue - We were warmly greeted by hotel staff whenever we appeared in the lobby or returned from sightseeing - Special mention of (1) Frank Chang, Concierge Supervisor, (2) Jack, FrontDesk and (3) all the staff at the Breakfast venue, in particularly the chef - Frank was highly exceptional and attentive to our needs. He personally handled our request for food delivery to our room due to time constraint. He also went extra miles to find out the dress code & access time to enter the Mosque in the Muslim Quarter - Jack was very professional and personable during the check-in and check-out process - All the staff at the breakfast venue were very flexible to accommodate our requests including takeaway breakfast for our early train rides
