I wavered between four and five stars, but went with five because of the friendliness of those friendly members of the hotel team and because of the room and view. When you open those giant windows and look out unto the neon glow of the Shanghai skyline...wow. The room itself is cool too. I'm a sucker for the misting glass that separates the bathroom from the bedroom. Bed was ultra comfortable. My hesitation to give five stars comes from the feeling you get that the hotel has a paint job of accomplishment sometimes. The heated pool is coldish, the sauna is just a warm box, the fruit in the room was delicious but never refilled. It's all tiny stuff - and, I mean, you're being treated pretty damn well - but if you want to be the top of the hotel charts, you got to be flawless. But, without a doubt, stay here for a pretty fantastic luxury experience.

Over a month ago we had the PLEASURE of staying 3 nights at the Wanda Reign. Beautiful hotel, fabulous location and fantastic service!!! I have to mention staff who were so helpful and friendly: Nikolas Chatzipetros, the manager; Miranda; Cecilia; Martin and Aiden in the dining room and chef Anthony; Dennis; and all the women at the front desk who checked us in and out. Nearly every employee seemed eager to help in an unforced way. The location is perfect for viewing the sweep of the older buildings on the Bund -particularly spectacular at night. And, the hotel is SO beautiful. Special artwork, inlaid floors, marble everything and design details are superb. Shanghai can seem overwhelming so the guidance that we got from the staff as we started out and then to return to the luxury of the hotel at the end of the day was so beneficial. I've been singing Wanda Reigns praises and hope that some of my friends enjoy being there as much as my husband and I did. Wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in Shanghai.

The service of Wanda Reign on the Bund, Shanghai deserves a five-star rating. Jasper, the concierge, provided excellent service.
