No. 548號, Zhongshan 2nd Rd, Sinsing District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan 800
Best hostel in Kaohsiung so far! It’s close to Central Park Station with around 20 minutes to airport and around 5 minutes to Kaohsiung Station. The room is clean and cozy too. Highly recommend to everyone.
I loved Uno backpackers! From the moment i arrived outside of the hostel until i went in. The location is close to the metro and close to coffee shops, convenient stores and clothing stores, not to mention, it is not too far from the airport probably 30 mins or less by train. It has a fun vibe since they have a game room. They have a huge space at the lobby in front of the reception area. The 2nd floor has a big kitchen where you can cook and make you coffee/tea. They have a lot of tables where you can work as well as eat. The rooftop is also a big space for you to do some yoga in the morning or simply just chill. It is also where the laundry space is(you only need to pay 50ntd for 1 load and another 50 if you need to dry them, it was hot when i was there so i didnt need the dryer). It is a good value for money for sure. The rooms are spacious as well and bed was comfy. The toilet had all of the toiletries you need even the pantyliners for women and cotton buds. Highly recommended! I will stay there again when im back to Kaohsiung!
Clean facilities. Organized booking process. Great location. Nice view from roof. Easy access to public transit
Everything was good , just they didn't provide slippers ? but that's fine, since I'm only staying for one night
A midrange priced hostel/hotel, Uno is a great place to stay. With full air conditioning throughout the building, this is a nice treat or upgrade from the usual rough and tumble. I would rate Uno with 5 stars, if it was a luxury hostel, unfortunately that 5th star is reserved for the upper echelon. The floor wide, common room is located on the second floor and has two lounging areas. The first can be considered the "kiddy" area for any children that may be running around. The second is the living room with sofas and a TV. There is a full kitchen and dining area, along with a few private work spaces, equipped with a personal light and electrical outlets. The rooftop area is well protected and has more seating for those cool evenings, if one wanted to enjoy the view. The basement is the entertainment room, with a poker table and a full karaoke setup, if one wanted to rent. Regular bed mattresses were used instead of thinner sleeping pads found in budget facilities. There are no lockers, just a small wooded safe for each bunk. There are large shelves within the bunk to store your backpack. There is a single shared bathroom on each of the two floors, with the women's on the third and the men's on the other. The laundry machines and clothes lines are also located on the roof. All in all, with all these facilities, Uno is oriented for backpackers, digital nomads and travelers on the go and may have been the premium hostel) hotel in it's day.
