I had a wonderful stay at Tuna Homestay. The beds were very comfortable and had a little shelf unit, which I appreciated. The hosts do the most to make sure you are comfortable and are very attentive to your needs. The rooms have key access which helped to make me feel safe as a solo woman traveler. I chose the breakfast option, which gave me a lovely full breakfast of my choice each morning! The building is clean and the outdoor seating area is a nice refuge from the bustling city. I enjoyed being nearby the lake where I could relax away from Old Quarter. 10/10!
My stay at this hotel was quite nice. The rooms were cleaned every day, especially the bathroom and toilet. If I’m not mistaken, the cleaner came every two days to clean the floor and other areas. The hotel is close to the lake, and whenever I needed to go to the city, I just used Grab for a ride. Besides that next to the host, there are cafes, fastfood restaurants, pharmacy etc. I had a few options for breakfast made by the host lady, all of them were delicious and served beautifully. Hosts are welcoming and always ready to help me with needs. Later on, The hotel also had good security, with a special key card system for opening and closing the doors. Whenever I left my things in the room, everything stayed exactly as I left it—nothing was touched. Even though I bought a lock for my valuables, I felt that my belongings were safe. Overall, it was a great experience, I recommend this place for everyone.

Tuna Homestay was amazing. I stayed there for 1 month in 2025. The couple who run it are very hospitable, a nice mixture of backpackers and other travellers are there for you to meet. The beds are comfy and the showers always provide hot water. It is by the west lake, surrounded by many great local restaurants. It is a quieter area, most restaurants closing around 23:45
felt so good to stay there instead of big hostels for tourists. this home stay really feels like home, but still clean and service perfect. Liya is a true angel, so kind and here for you. There is also a cute dog and a little garden with fishes, the location is really nice and not too loud. I really recommend !
