Tropics Eight Suites is located across the street of Penang Chinese Girls School. It's next to Kia Lai Cake Pastry shop. To reach the lobby, there were short stairs we had to climb up. The lobby is pretty small but modern. The premium suite (room no 1002) was spacious, modern but also comfortable. It actually can fit 4 people inside, and still feel cozy. There were 3 wardrobes, two of 2-seaters sofa (one of them is sofa bed), coffee table, study desk & chair, benchtop for breakfast area with 4 high chairs, and a big TV in the room. There were a microwave, simple cutleries, bowls & plates provided in the cabinets. There were 3 AC total in the whole unit. One in the bedroom, two in the livingroom. The bathroom was also clean & considerably big, there was even a wardrobe & dressing table with a big mirror in it. The balcony was ample, with beautiful view. The hotel provide water dispenser on each level, near the lift. The bottle was provided in the room. In level 7, there were gym & laundry areas which are located at the same room. The use of washing machine & dryer were free of charge. We had to bring the detergent ourselves. They provide us with a laundry basket in the room to transport our dirty clothes. Just a few meters away, there was a food court, cafe Goodall, which served delicious variety of food. There were 3 mini markets nearby. Approximately 10-15 minutes walk to Gurney Plaza. Only 6 minutes by grabcar. We really enjoyed our stay in this accommodation.

Great location, wishing to visit Hindu temples near waterfront? this the rite hotel to stay with family. View to the temple from the hotel fantastic.
