I really enjoyed the size of the courtyard room... It's a fantastic location but you've to put up with the nightly noise pollution from the pubs and the morning call to prayer. So much good food at the door step.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Nondescript entrance led to hidden gem with two lovely outdoor areas to relax. Great location and comp parking across the street. Rooms clean and well appointed with comfy beds and good shower. To counter street noise, room windows are sealed so if you need fresh air suggest overnight stay only.

Rather than try and get a Grab hone on NYE, we decided to stay in George Town for the night. Have walked past here numerous times and not realised that there is actually a hotel there. It was an oasis on NYE. Watching the fireworks from the rooftop was a wonderful experience and we had the rooftop to ourselves. Chulia Street is noisy at the best of times, NYE multiply that by 5 so if you're looking for a quiet room away from the noise then Tien is not the place to go to. But we knew that was the case. The bed was most probably the most comfortable hotel bed I've slept in. The room was very clean, there is a communal kitchen with a large fridge, tea/coffee making facilities and a few safes. here is no lift so if you have a lot of luggage, then be prepared to take it up a flight (or 2) of stairs. Would definitley stay there again

Stayed 2 nights there. Overall is good. Had cozy room but no lift. Need to carry own suitcase. Friendly staff especially Anna. Will come back next summer. Walking distance to tourist attractions and lots of local food.
