Great location right by Myeongdong so you can get your shopping on! The rooms are slightly dated but they are still lovely. The service is top-notch, and I appreciate the lounge for tea throughout the day. The gym is great and had everything I needed. I enjoyed being able to order room-service from my phone/tv and took advantage of some of the takeout promotions for guests in the hotel. I had the uni carbonara from Rubrica (amazing!) and some fried chicken and beer in my room. The housekeeping staff did a fantastic job of making sure I always had slippers and a tidy room. I'd happily stay here again.
Outstanding service at this venerable hotel in Myeondong. The hotel is oldest in the country (but completely rebuilt). Overall high quality in all aspects. Room, Westin Lounge, a variety of restaurants with excellent food, the City Athletic Club but best of all is the thoroughly professional service from all staff members. Highlight is the women in thanks Westin Lounge who helped with concierge services with warmth.
Honestly the best service ever. Better than other hotels known for this like the Waldorf Astoria or 4 season. Staff was extremely helpful and polite. Attention to detail was always there. I went outside and came back to see room service left a glsss by a drink I was enjoying. Little things like that. The hotel didn’t go over to the annoying side some hotels do with service always bothering you and asking you if you need anything. They anticipated and someone was always available to help. Location is great if you’re a tourist too. Rooms were clean and nice quality. Not trying to do too much. A refined luxury experience for those that know and appreciate that.
Stayed here for 3 nights on business. The location was great and the front desk and concierge team were quite nice and polite. Housekeeping on the other hand, entered my room, refilled the bottled water, wrote me a bill for the toothbrush and toothpaste, and left without doing anything else. Bed was not made, towels were unchanged. Didn’t even take the trash out. I’ve never seen this anywhere else. Also, wifi has been really spotty during my stay and every hour or so the connection will be lost and I was disconnected from my zoom meeting as a result. Edit: great service recovery by the front desk. The review was read in a couple of hours and the duty manager personally came when I was checking-out. No hotel is ever perfect, but sincere service recovery is always appreciated.
I can’t be totally unbiased in this review. Yes, it’s an older hotel, but you have to ask yourself, what do I want out of a hotel stay? Different occasions, different desires, etc. The Josun Hotel for my family has always been a reliable place when excellence matters. Whether it’s a comfortable room or a bar to elevate any meeting, this truly historic hotel has been a backdrop for my family for three generations now. It reminds me of the Carlyle in New York. Sure, if you want more modern rooms and fancy this and that, there are better options, but being excellent is more than just modern amenities. There’s a sense of establishment and gravity to the service and hospitality here.
