Unfortunately, the food was extremely disgusting. It tasted like it came straight out of a packet. We ordered the scotch fillet, but what we received was definitely not that cut. It was well done when we had asked for medium rare, so we sent it back. The replacement wasn’t any better, it was dry, tough, and honestly felt like eating cardboard. We didn’t end up eating it as it was completely inedible, and we asked for, and received, a refund.

We also tried the lamb shank, which was drowning in a thick sauce that tasted more like something from a canteen than a quality kitchen.

The only redeeming part of our visit was the service. The young man with short curly hair was polite, attentive, and genuinely tried to make our experience better. His customer service was excellent, thank you to him.

Spectacular room, poor service.

My partner and I stayed for one night in room 1 a beautiful and elegant suite.
Well kept and cleaned, everything worked fine and we really enjoyed our stay.

A big improvement needs to be done with service and the training of staff members as it doesn't give justice to the venue and to the price paid either.
All young staff members so I'd like to blame the inexperience.

Apart from this we really enjoyed our stay as the room was very cozy and had everything we  needed!

We came here for the advertised steak night. Called ahead to make a booking including 2 adults r children and requiring 2 high chairs for babies  with alfresco seating.

Arrived to nobody outside waiting, noone at the restaurant and a sign directing us to the bar.Naroow hot enclosed walkway the double twin pram barely fit though to find we weren't expected, the bar attendant had to call reservations to even be sure they had high chairs at all, which were pulled from a cleaning closest was the first red flag they wetr not ready for a family, or that the reservation was listened to and followed through on.

Once she retrieved the seats she attempted to seat us inside until we said we were outside, and then she didn't knwo how to put them on their seating, so we had to install hughchair/boosters ourself,  and were left with menus which we were told to go back to the bar to order our food when ready,  no table service and requires leaving children outside alone or bringing then all in to the var with me to order!

There was no kids menu.. at all. Most we could do is order adult meals.and let kids eat off our plates which want a real option. We ended up packing up the seats and returning then and leaving without ordering food or drink and informing bar staff we were leaving due to no kids menu... she was apologetic  but no help. Spent next 2 hours wandering streets on Saturday evening with 4 kids looking for alternative place to eat... after travelling 1.5hrs on public transport to honour this booking at 6pm.

Ate around 8pm.... was near 11:30pm by tine we got home with overtired hungry kids...  will not be going again.

I went for a coffee and croissant.

There was a steady flow of coffee orders through the counter and it took the usual 7-8 minutes for my coffee to come out.

The almond croissant however... the biggest issue wasn't that it was stale.  I had to ask 4 times for the croissant and it took 26 minutes to be served.  There was also zero acknowledgement that I waited 26 minutes.

I won't be returning there.

The food quality at the Terrace Hotel is poor especially the desserts (don’t waste your money on the ice cream sundae as it is 1x scoop of Peters ice cream with ice in it, whipped cream & Cottee’s strawberry topping for $16… something that should cost $3).

Service also requires significant improvement including ensuring that the correct food arrives at the correct table number.

The staff could not cope with the 10 people ordering from 4 different groups, and it took significant time for food to arrive.
