My wife and I stayed at The Star Grand for one night while attending an event, and overall it was an excellent experience. From check-in to check-out, the service was fantastic — professional, welcoming and efficient. We had originally booked an Executive Deluxe King Room but were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a Club Suite. The suite was immaculate, spacious and offered spectacular views. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Unfortunately, we missed out on trying the included hotel breakfast. We arrived at 9:00 AM to find a queue stretching out of the restaurant and decided not to wait. Instead, we went to the JW Marriott nearby, which had an incredible breakfast buffet and worth every cent. Despite that, the overall experience at The Star Grand was excellent. I'd happily stay again, maybe just a little earlier for breakfast next time.
I recently visited The Star Casino Gold Coast with a group of friends, and we had an amazing time! From the moment we walked in, the energy and atmosphere were buzzing. The casino floor is huge and well-maintained, with a great variety of games—everything from classic poker and blackjack tables to modern slot machines. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, there’s something for everyone. What really stood out to me was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was super friendly and helpful, especially when we had questions about how certain games worked. Security was present but not intrusive, and everything felt very safe and well-organized. We also grabbed dinner at one of the restaurants inside, and the food exceeded expectations. There’s a nice mix of dining options, from casual bites to more upscale meals. The cocktails were great too—perfect for unwinding between games. After spending some time at the tables, we explored the rest of the venue and even ended the night at one of the bars with live music. The vibe was vibrant without being too loud or overwhelming, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the night. Parking was easy, and the location is super convenient—just a short ride from Surfers Paradise. Overall, The Star offers more than just a casino experience—it’s a full night out with entertainment, food, and fun all under one roof. Highly recommend visiting if you’re on the Gold Coast, whether you’re into gaming or just looking for a fun night with friends. We’ll definitely be going back again!
We had an extended stay at the Star Gold Coast. Loved every minute of it. The room was spacious and clean with a magnificent view of the sea and Gold Coast. The complex oozed luxury. It was busy most time s in thr common areas due to the casino popularity. Easy access to pacific fair shopping. Many amazing dining opportunities on site. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly on all levels. Highly recommend for an overnight or longer stay.
Stayed here for a conference and it was perfectly fine. I think for $300 a night you would expect a certain level of service and it was mostly met - reception brilliant. Concierge and housekeeping ok. Overall the place is rather tired so it fits the conference vibe. Walking to GC exhibition is great.
