Just returned from a leadership retreat my group organized at The Rockaway Hotel and it was a homerun! The service was especially outstanding. We were on a tight two-day schedule and everything ran like clockwork. The Bungalows (suites) are especially beautiful, and ideally organized for informal, comfortable gatherings of 6-8 people in the common area of the suites. Food was very good and it was nice to be so close to the beach. Would definitely go back!

The hotel was great! The front desk staff at check in was super friendly. The spa experience was great. The coffee shop had upscale offerings, and good coffee options. As far as decor - modern, cultural, fun. Really appreciated the aesthetic. The room itself was on the smaller side, but bed super comfy…and the items in the room was modern. Proximity to the beach was great, a few short blocks away. Would recommend for the area!

Everyone there was wonderful—from the reception to the pool and the restaurant. They made me feel genuinely welcome without ever being intrusive. I wasn’t staying at the hotel—I just had a resort pass for the day during a long layover at JFK. I had a fantastic day! After this experience, I’d definitely come back for a full stay. The hotel is beautifully designed—trendy, yet tastefully elegant. I came for the heated pool and sauna, and it turned out to be a truly relaxing day. The food was an added bonus: everything was exceptionally well-prepared, with high-quality ingredients and great attention to detail. I can’t recommend this place enough— It’s a trendy spot for beachgoers, and they host summer concerts. It's truly the best beach experience you can have in the city.

What a gem! We loved staying near the beach with magnificent views of the Manhattan skyline and the ocean. The hotel restaurant, Margi's was very good and had a fun vibe with a bar area but not so loud that you could not have a conversation during dinner. Our only disappointment was that we could not enjoy the beautiful pool in a spa like setting because the weather was a bit chilly. Access to the ferry was very easy and a great way to get to the city. Walking or running on the boardwalk was lovely and we had breakfast at the restaurants on the beach.
