I'm not a fan of tall buildings, I'm also not a fan of the very kitsch decor, but it's worth it. The hotel is very luxurious.
The staff was very professional and attentive. The rooms were spacious and beautiful.
The bedroom view was amazing, half city, half river. There is everything we needed. Additionally, the excellent breakfast was a real highlight! It's worth noting that there wasn't a sound; we were in one of the tallest buildings.
Thank you for this stay, we will return during our next visit to Saigon.

The best hotel experience during our Vietnam trip.  Perhaps the best  hotel experience we ever had world wide.  Our family booked 3 suite and I was lucky enough to receive an upgraded suite!  It was a corner suite and provided panorama view of Nguyen Hue and downtown.  The rooms were enormous and felt so luxurious.  Each suite had their own interior decorating theme and mine felt like a 70's presidential/spy suite, very cool.  The bathroom was spectacular, the bathtub had a full wall window that provided panoramic view of the city (awesome at night time).  The minibar(all the drinks in the kitchen fridge) was completely free.  The staff was always attentive, courteous, helpful and even protective (looked out for us during busy street events or made sure our taxis were legit and not scams).  Probably the only hotel that gave me the feeling of actually being on cloud nine during my stay.

The rooms are nicely decorated and the hotel is beautiful but there are several major issues - 1) our room smelled VERY musty, the smell of damp fabric that grew mildew. I called the front desk and they sent a dehumidifier and essential oil diffuser to my room but the bedding still smelled. I had to call again and they replaced the pillow cases, and the staff member who did admitted that they smelled bad. 2) Breakfast, if not included with your reservation, is $50/person/day. The food is okay, but not worth the price when you could have a better meal elsewhere in the area. Our issue is when the staff came to clear a nearby table, they used a dirty towel to wipe the surface, and the towel could be smelled from my table. The "clean" table smelled like a rank, moldy towel. Again, The Reverie is considered a "luxury" hotel, and this is below the standards you would expect for such a label. 3) The location of the hotel is good but since it's in a very busy district, Grab drivers get very annoyed about having to come pick you up. It takes longer since they're stuck in traffic around Nguyễn Huệ and sometimes they go to the wrong entrace (there are three entrances) to the hotel. The staff are very nice and the service at the hotel is top-notch; it's a shame that their hygeine and cleaning standards are not.

Avoid This Hotel – Terrible Check-In Experience

I had a very frustrating experience with The Reverie Saigon. I booked and paid in full through the Agoda app, but when I arrived around 3 PM, the hotel refused to let me check in because the name on the reservation (a nickname) didn’t match my passport exactly.

Even after I provided proof of identity and payment, and spent over an hour on the phone with Agoda trying to resolve it, neither Agoda nor the hotel could or would help. It was very clear I was the paying guest, yet they still denied me the room.

For a so-called six-star hotel in District 1, this level of service is completely unacceptable. It felt like they were keeping my money without providing anything in return. I will not return and definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay far away.
