Good hostel for the money. The beds were comfy and the room layouts made sense and everything was clean. Our room had six bunks and one toilet, so if someone was taking their time in there, you either have to go to the roof (outside) or to the lobby to go to another toilet - not awful but can be a bit inconvenient. Also the kitchen is mainly equipped for heating up food, we found one knife and a few cutting boards, but not really adequate supplies for cooking. In general a good place to stay in a quiet area near the metro!
Really lovely experience here and we will book again when in the area! We are a family of four with a 7 years old and 1 year old. We got a private room with a double and a bunk. Everything is super clean, everything you needed there. It was really great having a shared space downstairs so we could get food from local places and eat it there with the kids. There is a shared kitchen space so we could keep anything cool that needed to be. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. I would recommend it. The area is great for The Gare du Lyon station and we also got the bus to a few tourist spots. There are lots of play parks in the area.
Great hostel overall. It's not fancy but it has everything you need. Perfect location. The vibe is positive, fun, and creative. I had a private room with a balcony and I really enjoyed it. The bed was cozy too! Definitely a great value for the money. I'd stay there again happily!
Very confortable bed with safe in addition to personal locker for bags. The atmosphere was great and it was fun to watch football matches with people in the lobby during the night. The transport is very convenient, there are two metro stations about 2-3 minutes walk, as well as bus stops. And the streets personally felt pretty safe as I was a female travelling alone and I took the metro back from the Eiffel Tower at 11pm and the streets were very quiet.
I had a great stay at this place a few years ago. The bunks are awesome, spacious and private with curtains, charging outlets, lights, and even a small safe. The bedding was very comfortable. Everything was accessed with a proxy card you get when you check-in, including the bathrooms, so I always felt pretty safe during my stay even in a mixed dorm. I got lucky with some nice, quiet roommates and I didn’t hear any loud noises from other rooms down the halls during my stay. The bathrooms, showers, and shared spaces were always clean and well kept. I had a delicious meal at the restaurant attached on the upper floor while waiting for my check-in time. But for some reason they said they don’t do to-go boxes so I had to just waste part of the meal, so that kind of sucked. All of the staff were super friendly and there was always someone at the front desk. GREAT location as well, a very short walk to many different popular landmarks.
