There cannot be a destination more luxurious than the Oberoi in Lombok. We were celebrating a family trip and this resort made our celebration the highlight of our trip. Right from the manager to the staff, everyone goes above and beyond to ensure that guests are taken care of. From their breakfasts to sun downers, the architecture of the hotel to the amenities, everything is unparalleled. The Spa, gym, tennis, water activities at their own pier, everything was exceptional. The rooms and beds, the small additions like fruits in the room or a sweet treat during turn-down service, are all a part of their exemplary service. The grounds are immaculate and their all-you-can-drink fresh coconut is just an example of how these small gestures matter to guests who travel from various parts of the world to Lombok. Definitely one of those places we will keep repeating very often!
Manicure grounds and loads of space. Luxurious hotel. Never had any problem finding sunbeds overlooking the sea with magnificent views including the most amazing sunsets. Staff are always smiling and welcoming. The food was v good. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with outside space. Be aware that there isn’t anything nearby even if you take a taxi the main city is hours away including Kuta. The only reason for 4 star is because we thought it lacked a bit of atmosphere especially in the evening. Once dinner finishes around 9pm there is a small bar which most evenings was empty and there is no music. The port for Gili islands and Bali is v close. The airport is 90min away though the hotel will pick you up and drop you off.
This hotel is the most exquisite place I have ever visited... The layout of the buildings is spacious and functional, whilst also creating a fabulous ' park' feel to it.( It was built 27 years ago so trees and shrubs are matured and provide good shade and beauty). The actual buildings have timeless qualities, very sumptuously decorated, but not fussy or overdone - calm, honest use of marble, stone, and wood. But it is the staff who actually truly make this place such a shining beacon of how to run a luxury hotel !! They are magnificent in their quest for ensuring all guests' needs are well attended to... You MUST stay here if you have a special celebration coming up !! You will be thrilled, as we were... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Having now stayed at three 5 star resorts on Lombok, I can unequivocally say, that the Oberoi was the best of the three. The resort grounds are beautiful and meticulously maintained. The resort setting is lovely, right at the beach with Gili Air right in front and Bali’s Mt. Agung towering in the distance. Loungers overlooking the sea are pristine, wrapped in fresh towels, and supplied with cold water, cold towel, and sunscreen. Absolute heaven. Shoutout to Gede who took great of me. My room, while not one of the larger villas, was beautiful and thoughtfully appointed. There wasn’t a single thing I needed that wasn’t supplied. It was spotlessly clean and serviced 2x day. Fruit replenished daily and chocolates on arrival. The staff are meticulously groomed and appropriately uniformed. While some might think this stuffy, I think it encourages professionalism. This is in contrast to the other resorts in which staff were dressed more casual, and frankly, sometimes in clothing that was actually dirty. I was ill during my stay and the Oberoi employees were the kindest most caring hotel staff I have ever encountered. I was eating very simple meals (bananas, rice, toast, etc.), frequently in my room. Not only did the hotel provide these to my room, they offered them complimentary! Who does that? I’ll tell you who, the Oberoi does! They arranged a doctor to see me on a few hours notice. The charges were fair & reasonable. I can only offer my kudos to the General Manager, Mr. Tanmay Vaidya, for a job well done, and a big thank you to all the staff at the Oberoi Beach Resort Lombok who made my stay very memorable.
What an amazing resort. The views are amazing onto the Gili Islands and the sunsets are stunning! We stayed for 14 nights for our Honeymoon in the private villa and pool, with half board and airport transfers. We had 5 spa treatments, a trip to two waterfalls, horseback ride, private boat hire with scuba dives and a visit to the Lombok Wildlife park (more like a small zoo). Rooms: The rooms was very spacious, the service with room cleaning was very thorough which came in the morning and in the evening always kept us having enough bottled water in the room. We had an issue with the bath halfway through the stay and they sent maintenance straight away, a temporary fix was done but within the next few hours they came back with a brand new tap. The pool and surrounding areas were kept clean and constantly maintained. Service: Honestly this deserves higher than 5 out of 5 starts, no joking but was something like 8 out of 5 stars! The entire staff made you feel like you were the VIP in the resort and I can safely say this wasn't just unique to our experience but to all the other guests from what we saw. Example of the excellent service is that my wife doesn't have a wide pallet of tastes, once the chefs and food staff new this they kept coming out and discussing how they could help, what dishes could they make specifically for her to make her comfortable. Several times they made special dishes designed by the chef and my wife so that she could try some new foods but that matched the pallet that my Wife could cope with. A shout out to Ali who works in the Lumbung who made our stay the extra bit special, we ended up speaking every night at supper even if he was on the other side of the restaurant and helped teach us some of the local language (he was amazing we were dreadful!). On our final night there Ali gave us a little special goodbye gift of a plate with I think it was hope to see you soon written on it with a special treat to eat! The staff at the main entrance where always helpful and friendly when we passed and were always eager to help us if we needed anything at all and guided us with what we needed to do. The beach club staff were also very friendly although we only really dealt with the two scuba masters. Location: For us it was perfect! it is out of the way of most things in Lombok apart from the Gili Islands. But if you are wanting a relaxing, peaceful and excellent resort this is for you. However, if you wanting to go exploring or somewhere its busy and don't want to travel, THIS IS NOT FOR YOU! However, in my opinion the service, views and quality of the resort outweighs any travel you need to do! Only note I would say is that they need to update the photos on the website. It honestly sells the resort short! We did pass this feedback on before we left and we were told that there was a plan to update these in June some time as they agreed with us. Again took on feedback very well! Until then look at reviews and their photos as we did to get the best idea of what's there! From talking to many people on Lombok, it is clear to know that Oberoi has a very luxurious reputation. With that this maybe isn't the cheapest resort on Lombok but is it worth it? Answer is clearly with a doubt yes, the service, food and the resort itself is well worth the price! 100% will go back.
