Great old school pub with some modern touches. All the plates we ordered were well done (and we ordered 70% of the menu between our group!). Simple pasta for the kids was a great option to have, and the Tasmanian octopus was especially awesome. Friendly and efficient staff, even on a busy Friday night.

The drinks are reasonably priced and it's dog friendly.

The food and service is unfortunately very average.

I have been three times for the Sunday roast, the first time was great but the other two were terrible. An undercooked "chicken Wellington" then a ham hock mess with an inedible sweet gravy.
My friend tried the grilled lettuce salad which resulted in her having to mop up the excessive amount of oil with napkins. The schnitzel is pretty good but the burgers aren't great (especially considering the price). Also $30+ for a pasta special is pretty steep.

Being our local, I always hope the food will be good but it is disappointing 90% of the time.

The wait for food is often very long, the "good" roast I mentioned earlier took an hour when there were only 3 other tables in the pub. The staff are great face to face but ordering beers through the QR code on the table regularly results in beers taking 20+ mins to be delivered even when the pub is quiet.

Beers nice and cold in a great traditional style pub but they sling a pretty sad feed, for $26 the schnitty was very small and the salad was a couple of lettuce leaves.
I’m also concerned why their standard schnitty comes covered in Parmesan and capers, odd.
The vegan burger was somehow incredibly dry but oily at the same time.

We went there for lunch on Monday of the Australia Day long weekend. Ordered the Barra, chips and salad. Took 40 minutes to arrive. The fish was nice, the salad consisted of 4 small lettuce leaves. I think for the $35 I paid for the meal was overpriced. You can get better and pay a lot less. Our table booking that we made didn’t exist but there was a spare table. Would not recommend.

It's a small pub, one would think you'd get better service instead of making you wait. Last time I went it was dirty and foul, this time looked better but still small. I didn't think much of the meals the last time, I hope they've upgraded their chef and/or skills
