No. 839 Renming Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai, China, 200000
We stayed for 1 day only at this hotel between a long trip from London to Bangkok. It was great for our purposes - close to Yu gardens and the Bund. The hotel is clean, smart and lovely rooms which are very good value. We were also given free tokens for beer / coffee on their roof terrace. The communication on email was great and I met the chap I had been corresponding with (he organised taxis for us) but I can’t recall his name - sorry! We got a super early check in which we desperately needed. Only issue is that the hotel is on a busy road which we expected but I would suggest is more than factored into the price. Would recommend particularly for a flying visit
Our best choice in Shanghai. Great location, close to the Bund and Yu Garden. Spacious rooms, the most comfortable bed I've ever had in a hotel. Water, soda, tea/coffee in the room every day. Excellent and varied breakfast, and the main bonus is the restaurant terrace with the famous view of the Bund and Shanghai Tower. Friendly staff who will always help with calling a taxi or food to the room. It is noteworthy that the food is brought to the room by a robot, very cool experience. In general, the hotel met our expectations and even more! I highly recommend it!
We stayed here earlier this month. The room was booked by our travel agent. The rooms are relatively small in size and having an extra bed in the room really left us with no space. The rooms and bathrooms were clean but the blinds on the glass partition don't offer much privacy. Also basic amenities like toothbrush/comb/shower caps were provided only upon request which I found strange as all the hotels during our stay in China had provided them. This was also the only hotel which didn't provide 3 towels in the room for 3 occupants. The terrace provides beautiful views. The location is very good though with the yu garden within walking distance. But there is a construction site bang opposite causing with work starting early morning. The breakfast menu is good. A laundry room is also there but we didn't check to see if the service was free or paid. Also what was annoying was that a large vehicle like a van cannot park in front of the hotel. So we had to get off on the curb and lug our suitcases, albeit a few meters only and then carry them up 5 -7 steps. I would rate this as more of a business hotel, good for a short stay. The ramp at the entrance was also very steep, and i doubt that it is wheelchair accessible.
Very nice hotel with clean rooms. Bed is very comfortable and even the shower gel and shampoo is very good. We had the breakfast and was slightly disappointed as the hot food was cold. Location is near the metro. Recommended.
