We had a great experience at the Royal. The bistro kitchen staff were excellent. The lead chief went out of his way to service our dinning needs. We’ll be going back to the Royal’s Bistro soon, and I encourage others to do the same.

We dropped into the Royal tonight (Easter Sunday) on our way home from the City. My friend had previously posted a pic of her steak & it looked great so we gave it a go. Great decision! We both had porterhouse steak with mash & veggies. It was delicious. Steak was cooked to our liking & the mash was so good & you got a mountain of it! Servings are quite large, lots of veggies & a good size steak. We will be back.

Great place to stay, don’t let the shared bathrooms put you off. Really comfy beds, serviced daily and the bathrooms are modern, immaculately maintained and very private. The staff are friendly especially Arun, Julie and Marty. Will happily return when I’m in town again.

We love the Royal, the bistro serves up great meals, the steaks are always cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and always helpful especially Henry and Ben who make our experience at the Royal enjoyable with their attention to detail and friendly service. Great place to watch the footy in the sports bar on the big screen after our meals. Highly recommend

It was our anniversary and we decided to revisit Royal Hotel dining as the food and service has been always satisfactorily good. Chef was kind to change the linguine from a cream based to a tomato based sauce and our meals were enjoyed with gusto! Noted new staff, Ben, who served us most efficiently as the others like Katherine had done. Our thanks and appreciation
