16 Eulji-ro, Jung District, Seoul, South Korea
Location was good. There subway just 3mins walk away. Its also walking distance to the attractions like Myeondong Street and other Palaces. Room was big for the price paid. We were give a high floor room, the unblock scenery was good.
Great location...pretty close to most of the tourist areas and metro lines. Room is bit too small and does not have a desk to work from. Old decor but the bed was good. Cleanliness is about 4 due to old decor and in need of remodeling. Fresh towels and two bottles of water each day was a plus. One negative feeling I got was with business center - they just have one PC at the front desk and they charge 1000 to 1500₩ per page to print. First time ever heard about this kind of charges...if the President or CEO hears my comments, do away with this charges. Customers need to print tickets or boarding passes time to time and don't make the image of your company looks so cheap. You don't increase your revenue by charging this minimal charges but instead bring bad taste and images to your hotel. This bad taste brought down my image of the hotel to 3.5.
Very convenient location next to Lotte hotel and subway and bus stations. Easily ordered Uber to go to other places. Quick 10 or 15 minutes walk to the street or night market and to Lotte shopping center. Nice clean room. The staff are very nice and helpful. Has a printer and computer for you to print plane boarding passes.
I stayed at the President Hotel for two weeks or so and I enjoyed my stay. As others have mentioned, it’s a great location in Seoul (right near Myeongdong) with easy access to public transit: both bus and subway (Eulijira and City Hall) coupled with easy walking distance (5-20 minute walk) to other tourist spots such as Cheonggyecheon stream, Gwanghwamun Square, Insadong, etc. Additional Pros include friendly staff (front-desk and cleaning team), self-service laundry, information & marketing tailored towards foreigners/tourists, and the gym. I emphasize the gym as its one of the better gym’s I have seen from any hotel or even from a community/apartment residence. Only notable observation is that I could tell that the building & room is old(er) but maintained extremely well and likely renovated in a lot of aspect. Besides that, I would definitely stay here again during another visit to Seoul.
