Had a fabulous stay here! The room had everything we needed, was clean and very comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. We were even able to check in early into an upgraded room at no extra cost! They also had a really great luggage storage option that could be used before or after our stay which was really helpful.
Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Great location and value – just be mindful of the heating system We stayed at Pod Times Square for one night, and overall, it was a good experience. I’m giving it 4 stars out of 5, mainly for the location, staff, and value for money. Pros: • Amazing location – It’s literally a 5-minute walk to Times Square, so everything is super accessible. • Friendly and helpful staff – Especially the front desk staff who checked us in. I didn’t get her name, but she gave us a room with a partial view of the Empire State Building, which we really appreciated. • High-tech room – The setup is very modern, with a big TV and automated systems. • Comfortable bed and a good-sized workstation/desk area. • The bathroom was clean and functional – no issues there. Cons: • The room is very small – to the point where you can’t even fully open a small suitcase on the floor. • The air conditioning/heating system is automated and not adjustable based on personal preference. During our stay, it was quite cold for us, but the system didn’t activate the heating since the external temperature didn’t meet its threshold. The staff confirmed they couldn’t manually override it. • One of the bed lights was broken, which was a minor inconvenience. This place is great for short stays, especially if you’re out exploring the city most of the time. But I personally wouldn’t stay here for more than a couple of nights due to the limited space. That said, for our final night in NYC, it met our needs well.
You get what you pay for. Everyone is really friendly and the location is AMAZING. Keep it mind that the rooms have a bed, a desk, and a bathroom. No other amenities and really not much space. The rooms were very sound proof. I never heard any other guests. The pricing is much more competitive than any of the surrounding hotels. Overall, I will definitely be staying here again.
Well-designed, efficient space for those looking to stay near the heart of the city without breaking the bank. The rooms are compact but comfortable. Perfect for solo travelers or couples who don’t mind a small but clean and quiet space. The location is ideal, just a short walk from the subway, bus station and Times Square. The soundproofing is pretty remarkable; we didn’t hear a peep from neighboring rooms, and the windows allowed us to either enjoy the city’s hustle or block it out entirely. The bunk beds with personal TVs were a fun touch, and the daily cleaning service ensured everything stayed fresh. The check-in process was smooth and quick, making this an excellent choice for short stays.
