i stayed here for 6 days, in a private room shared bathroom and i had a great experience. i arrived a little early to check in which was no issue, and i was settled into my pod by noon. the pod was well equipped and i got a corner pod so it was well lit too. the cleaning service was wonderful and perfectly timed in my opinion, since i like to sleep in, i never felt like i had to rush to leave in order to get my room cleaned. the area felt very safe, there were people in and out at all times of the day. the rooftop was a beautiful perk as well. i was also able to check out late which was very appreciated. they only negative in my opinion was the shared bathrooms. they were clean for the most part, but sometime people would spill water after showering and make the floor slippery. there were also a few times where the bathrooms were being used a lot, like around the morning and at night, so you’d have to wait around, but overall, i enjoyed my stay and would stay again.

Clean and quiet - what more could you want? Shoebox sized room, but that’s par for the course in NYC. My room had a private bathroom - I traveled alone, not sure I would feel comfortable staying in the room with anyone except a romantic partner because of the frosted glass and sheer shower curtain. I appreciated the toiletries provided! I enjoyed the location being outside the main hustle and bustle. Would absolutely stay again!

I stayed at Pod 51 for four nights during a solo trip to NYC and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is in a perfect location—just a short walk from Central Park, Rockefeller Center, and multiple subway stations. The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient, and check-in was a breeze. The room was small (as expected), but very clean, well-designed, and had everything I needed. I appreciated the smart use of space, comfy bed, and strong Wi-Fi. The rooftop terrace was a pleasant surprise—a great spot to relax after a busy day exploring the city. This hotel is perfect for travelers who value cleanliness, convenience, and affordability over luxury. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to New York!

I lived here for a week and I can't complain. The rooms were clean, the bathrooms were cleaned. The location is close to the subway and close to the main attractions in Manhattan. After a week's stay I can only recommend it! See you next time!

The rooms are definitely compact, but that’s exactly what I expected—super modern, tidy, and perfect if you’re spending most of your time exploring the city. The location is unbeatable: walking distance to Grand Central, close to the UN headquarters, and surrounded by great cafes and local spots. The rooftop area was a nice bonus for taking in some city views without the crowd. Staff were helpful and check-in was quick. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly boutique hotel in Manhattan that’s stylish, safe, and in a central location, Pod 51 is a great choice.
