We stayed one night at Ascot Central Apartments. The room was well laid out, with a bed, a small living area, and a modern, pleasant bathroom. The bedding wasn’t great, but the couch was comfortable. The ground-floor balcony was nice, though it faced a busy road with a lot of foot traffic. Luckily, the room itself was quiet. The location was convenient, with bus stops nearby. We requested a late checkout, which was granted for 10.30am instead of 10am. However, we were woken up at 9.15am by a housekeeper who entered without knocking, despite the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door—a disappointing way to end the stay.

Late checkin was easy. Proximity to the airport convenient. Room and bed were comfortable and clean. Walls are a bit thin. Breakfast room may have been convenient, but 9am close was a bit early after a late night arrival. Maybe next time.

I was quite drawn to this hotel after seeing the Google map photos. It looked beautiful, and I was excited to finally book a room at what I thought was a fair price. It’s also a special occasion for me, as it was my birthday. Last year, we stayed at another apartment for my birthday and were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, even though the price was quite similar. This time, however, the experience didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Maybe I was expecting too much, or perhaps it was because I booked a budget-friendly room. The receptionist was not friendly. I don’t mean it’s terrible, but not I like.
