Good location, average performance in other aspects . My friend and I planned to visit a flea market and Little India early in the morning, so we chose this hotel in the area for its relatively good value for money. . The staff who answered the phone was very friendly. My friend and I realized we missed the check-in time (6 PM) at night. After contacting the staff, they quickly and kindly explained to us how to check in ourselves. . The Deluxe Double Room we stayed in was spacious enough. However, the handheld shower holder in the bathroom was broken, so we could only use the overhead shower. This wouldn't have been a problem if the water temperature had been high enough, but I found it to be on the cooler side, so I was quite unhappy about this part.
Best "1-star hotel" I've stayed in! The lounge where you check in and out of the hotel is also a mini bar that serves food and drinks and a shop that sells wooden products and souvenirs. Upon entering the room, I was blown away by the cozy feeling it gives. Free water bottle, tea/coffee packets, toothbrush, toothpaste, and other necessities. The most surprising thing was how well ventilated the toilet was. Leave a wet towel in there overnight, bam it is dry by sunrise. I highly recommend this place as it is also very close to the iconic Jonker Street.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The plus point is the location is near to most of the attraction, which we are able to visit most of the place by walking. Also, there's lots of cafe and restaurants nearby so there won't be any problem finding for food. The price is slightly higher if according to the facilities and quality of the room. The room was smelly when we just checked in, and the towel looks dirty, not sure if they really clean and wash before we come. The water tap is leaking and it's hard to fix it. The bedroom is upstair, seperated from the toilet and bathroom which is located downstair, and staircase is quite narrow and a bit difficult to climb up and down. Funny thing is the bathtub is in the living room instead of in the bathroom, which makes the floor in living room area wet, hard to manage everytime after a bath. The water heater in the bathroom is very noisy, sounded loud especially if we shower at night time. Overall the decorations is nice, but less usefull. The design is just nice to look but is weird when you want to use it.
Rooms were clean but dark, we enjoyed our stay. Beds were a bit old, might need to replace mattress and bed rack as it wasn’t that comfortable.
Welcoming, cozy, clean charming. Located on a super quiet street but in a perfect location. Its a 1-star on google but is wayy nicer in person. The staff is incredibly friendly, the restaurant located at the hotel offers delicious, healthy food and drinks. Its really just a great vibe all around. Felt like family by the end of the stay. Would feel lucky if life allows me to return.
