I only stayed one night at Novotel Thakher, but wow — what a lovely experience! The view from my room was stunning, especially in the early morning. It gave such a peaceful vibe. But what truly made my stay memorable was the staff — every single person I interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You can feel they care about their guests. Even though it was a short visit, it felt like a little escape. I left with a big smile and warm memories. Definitely looking forward to staying here again.
I recently stayed at Novotel Thakher Makkah and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel boasts modern facilities, clean rooms, and a serene atmosphere—ideal for pilgrims seeking comfort after long days. A standout during my stay was Saiful, a staff member whose dedication and helpfulness truly enhanced my visit. His attentive service and warm demeanor made me feel welcomed and well-cared for, reflecting the hotel's commitment to guest satisfaction. However, the hotel's distance from Masjid al-Haram is a consideration. While shuttle services are available, they can be crowded during peak times, and the journey may take longer than anticipated. Planning ahead is advisable. Breakfast offerings were satisfactory, though there’s room for improvement in variety and freshness. In summary, Novotel Thakher Makkah provides a comfortable stay with commendable staff like Saiful making a positive impact. If you're comfortable with the commute to the Haram, it's a solid choice for your pilgrimage
Spent 4 nights and the room was fine. It's clean and quite comfortable. The free shuttle outside the hotel was also a huge help to get to and from Masjidil Haram. However, I think there are several things the hotel could improve: 1. I stayed at Tower 1 and during my 4 nights stay, there was almost always nobody in the reception desk. The only reception desk with staffs was at Tower 2 so all guests should go there and the queue was quite long. The hotel is huge and has multiple towers so I think all towers should have 24-hours reception desk service, not pooling it all in one tower. 2. Maybe the hotel can dedicate a line for checkout only or something like drop-your-key-here point to checkout, because when I had to checkout, I spent quite amount of time queueing in the reception desk, until I managed to make an eye contact with another staff and said that I wanted to checkout and handed him my keys and that's it. The checkout process took only less than 1 minute but I was in line for God knows how long. 3. The English skill for all staffs could be improved. But other than that, I had a nice stay and I could say that the free shuttle service of this hotel makes it worth to choose when staying at Makkah despite its distance from Masjidil Haram.
Fabulous rooms and sparkling clean and quite up to date with amenities and fixtures. Everything was present in the room from hair dryer to the iron, ironing board and even a Quran (maybe that’s normal in Makkah). The staff was always present. The shuttle bus service to Masjid was such a relief; however, there was just one an hour. The restaurant- the breakfast was quite a spread with at least 30 to 49 choices ranging from cheeses to pastries and continental and amazing taste!!! Would definitely stay here again
Wonderful experience at Novotel Thakher Makkah We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-organized. The restaurant was truly outstanding — every dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and the buffet was always fresh, varied, and very clean. You could taste the quality. A big thank you to Malik, who served with a warm smile and genuine hospitality every single time. He made our experience even better. Highly recommended, and we’d love to return.
